Though short I enjoyed my stay at the RIU.. The view from my room was breathtaking. the staff was welcoming and very helpful. Customer service is on point I will definitely revisit in the future.

This is really a wonderful hotel. I went here on a layover en route to Bogota and stayed in Panama for four days. The staff (front desk, security, restaurant, house keeping) were all kind. The room was big (I stayed in the kind deluxe); the view breath taking and the breakfast amazing (a mix of American, Asian, Panamanian, Venezuelan). It is strategic located and Uber is easy to use and cheap (by American standards). It is a busy hotel and also, hot water does take time to heat up, but Panama is a hot city, so I don’t mind. Also, they were kind enough to remember my birthday and give me complimentary piece of cake and fruits on my celebratory day. Thank you so much Riu for your kindness.

Don’t get fooled by the pictures in the website, the hotel looks like that but 10 years older. Everything is very old and used - tiles with pieces broken in the ends, stained carpets, a decade old towels and sheets (very very used). The shower opener was broken, the shower temperature varies from very cold to very hot. Big room, but everything was old and not well kept, lacking maintenance.
The pool is like a nightmare: very very very loud music (unbearable, like a pool party), very old and uncomfortable chairs (the place to seat has even a hole!), not enough places for even half of the people there.
The only thing I can compliment is the kindness of the personal, all of them very nice. From the reception people to the breakfast people, is rare to see such kindness. Breakfast is also very good with lots of variety, we really liked it
