I needed to connect with myself again and can not think of a better place to do it in. Thank you for such an authentic experience. It really is hard to switch off. Namuka Bay facilitates this gently. If you get a chance sit on the lounge built by Simon and stare straight up to the stars.

Thank you for your comments. Please do pass the word around. There are lots of visitors looking for this experience but they seldom find it due to mass marketing by other resorts
please remember that we have only 8 villa units and a lagoon that is unpolluted and a beach that is remotely secluded , ensuring that your experience in fiji is a private and memorable one

We had a one night stay here recently and it is a bit of a hidden gem. The road from the main highway is a bit of an adventure but will be suitable for most vehicles, just drive carefully on the gravel. The location is amazing on a really unspoilt piece of coastline with nothing aside from bush and some farmland surrounding the 5 or so cabins behind the beach. The rooms are nice, not flash and reasonably basic compared to the bigger resorts but they have everything you need (no fridges though). We were travelling with our toddler and it was a great place for him - safe, lots of room to roam around and lots of animals to spot. The service was very warm and efficient and we enjoyed the home-cooked food. For those looking for a alternative to the big chain hotels and a very relaxing holiday away from the big smoke Namuka is perfect.

Thank you for your comments about namuka bay .. indeed if families knew that namuka was not only a resort but it catered for the health concious and eco touristic and familiy minded traveellers than we would have more familiies come and stay. Please do pass the word around. Our lagoon is the safest place for toddlers to swim and catch a sight of coral fish, while the adults venture to the coral reef for snorkelling and kayaking

To whom it may concern

My wife and I have been here a few a few times and also with some of my wife's immediate family members. This place is just amazing. Would love to go back there as soon as possible. Very lovely. Worth a visit. Great snorkelling, great food, great service. Beautiful people too.

5 stars from me,
Adnaan Hussain Qureshi Samad.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I booked to stay at Namuka Bay Resort and the drive there certainly didn't prepare me for what greeted me at the end of the 6km winding dirt road along the escarpment leading to Namuka Bay. The friends that drove me down were quite concerned about my choice till we arrived to our destination then we were all left in awe. Words couldn't express our amazement at the stunning views, the accommodation, although not 5 star resort was certainly comfortable and more than adequate for my stay.
Namuka Bay Resort is a family owned and run resort and restaurant on a pristine coral bay with a reef break. The villas are all along the beach front and the views are stunning.
I had spent 10 days showering in cold showers so the hot showers were a welcome bonus. I loved the quiet surroundings and the owners and staff were all wonderful to me. I arrived and was running a fever and they all looked after me but still allowing me space to be on my own. They were more then helpful in supporting me by even offering to see a doctor. Unfortunately due to me being sick I was unable to do any snorkeling, swimming or other outdoors activities but if I ever return to Fiji this is the place that I will be returning to and spending most of my stay at. This is not the place if you are after the night life and a 5 star resort but for those who appreciate the quiet peaceful atmosphere this is the dream get away to do as much as you want or as little as you want. I would recommend that you rent a car if you want to venture to other places as there is a bit of a track in and out of the resort. I don't think my words have really expressed adequately how I feel about this place. Definitely coming back if I return to Fiji again. Jadranka Burns

What an amazing time we had at Namuka Bay Resort! Thr best part of our stay at Fiji!
First, this is not for those of you looking for a fancy resort experience! No pool, no fancy drinks, no body dancing around and trying to entertain you. What you get is a real, honest, authentic, and organic experience.
First, the people are absolutely amazing! Everyone is extremely nice, helpful, and respectful. Staff are very accomodating and allowed us to do a late checkout. You truly feel like you are a guest at someone's home.
The food is prepared daily and fresh. It will take 30-60 minutes to get your food because they make it just for you from scratch. If you want it at a certin time, let them know ahead of time!
The location is like nothing else! Isolated, very very quiet. Nothing but the sound of waves, cowbell, birds, and the nature. The beach is wide, sandy, and very quiet and massive pools of shallow water with very nice snorkle. Take the kayak out when the tide is higher and you can watch the fish from your kayak. Absolutely beautiful! If you want other activities organised, just ask the front desk. They will arrange them for you.
Walk along the track into the jungles and take in thr beauty.
No there is no electricity during thr day, no TV, and you pay for limited wifi access. That is part of what makes this place amazing. It truly makes you take a step back and relax. This is not a place for:
1-business travelers
2-party lovers
3-those looking for a "resorty" vacation
4-if you need a pool
5-if you cannot put your phone away
6-if you seek luxury
7-If you take yourself too seriously
This is the perfect place for:
1-Nature lovers
2-people wanting a break from civilization
3-those enjoying tasty home made meals
4-laid back people
5-Artists
6-young couples with an urge for travel and adventour

The rooms are simple, clean, spacious, no AC and none was needed at our stay.

Thank you so much Namuka Bay!

Room tip: Villas are perfect. Never assume things here; always ask.

I couldn't imagine a better time in Fiji than the time I spent at Namuka Bay. There is so much space and beautiful scenery that you never tire of looking at. The beach is so big it feels like you have it all to yourself and there is lots to explore.
Because Namuka is on a farm the food is always fresh. I never understood just how much difference freshness makes to food until I ate at Namuka Bay - you can't get chicken that taste that good in Australia! The girls in the kitchen sure know what they are doing!
All of the staff were so welcoming and caring. The always want to make sure you have a good time, even after you have finished your stay at their resort. They have some pretty interesting stories and are always keen to show you how to drink some Kava.
I was very sad to leave this place and hope it never changes. Coming back is a question of 'when' not 'if.'

Only one thing you must remember - do not go outside past dark with out Mosquito repellent!
