SHHHHHHHH!!!!! Don't tell anyone. I don't want to ruin it. Ohhhh I think I'm being a bit selfish.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I booked to stay at Namuka Bay Resort and the drive there certainly didn't prepare me for what greeted me at the end of the 6km winding dirt road along the escarpment leading to Namuka Bay. The friends that drove me down were quite concerned about my choice till we arrived to our destination then we were all left in awe. Words couldn't express our amazement at the stunning views, the accommodation, although not 5 star resort was certainly comfortable and more than adequate for my stay.
Namuka Bay Resort is a family owned and run resort and restaurant on a pristine coral bay with a reef break. The villas are all along the beach front and the views are stunning.
I had spent 10 days showering in cold showers so the hot showers were a welcome bonus. I loved the quiet surroundings and the owners and staff were all wonderful to me. I arrived and was running a fever and they all looked after me but still allowing me space to be on my own. They were more then helpful in supporting me by even offering to see a doctor. Unfortunately due to me being sick I was unable to do any snorkeling, swimming or other outdoors activities but if I ever return to Fiji this is the place that I will be returning to and spending most of my stay at. This is not the place if you are after the night life and a 5 star resort but for those who appreciate the quiet peaceful atmosphere this is the dream get away to do as much as you want or as little as you want. I would recommend that you rent a car if you want to venture to other places as there is a bit of a track in and out of the resort. I don't think my words have really expressed adequately how I feel about this place. Definitely coming back if I return to Fiji again. Jadranka Burns

What an amazing time we had at Namuka Bay Resort! Thr best part of our stay at Fiji!
First, this is not for those of you looking for a fancy resort experience! No pool, no fancy drinks, no body dancing around and trying to entertain you. What you get is a real, honest, authentic, and organic experience.
First, the people are absolutely amazing! Everyone is extremely nice, helpful, and respectful. Staff are very accomodating and allowed us to do a late checkout. You truly feel like you are a guest at someone's home.
The food is prepared daily and fresh. It will take 30-60 minutes to get your food because they make it just for you from scratch. If you want it at a certin time, let them know ahead of time!
The location is like nothing else! Isolated, very very quiet. Nothing but the sound of waves, cowbell, birds, and the nature. The beach is wide, sandy, and very quiet and massive pools of shallow water with very nice snorkle. Take the kayak out when the tide is higher and you can watch the fish from your kayak. Absolutely beautiful! If you want other activities organised, just ask the front desk. They will arrange them for you.
Walk along the track into the jungles and take in thr beauty.
No there is no electricity during thr day, no TV, and you pay for limited wifi access. That is part of what makes this place amazing. It truly makes you take a step back and relax. This is not a place for:
1-business travelers
2-party lovers
3-those looking for a "resorty" vacation
4-if you need a pool
5-if you cannot put your phone away
6-if you seek luxury
7-If you take yourself too seriously
This is the perfect place for:
1-Nature lovers
2-people wanting a break from civilization
3-those enjoying tasty home made meals
4-laid back people
5-Artists
6-young couples with an urge for travel and adventour

The rooms are simple, clean, spacious, no AC and none was needed at our stay.

Thank you so much Namuka Bay!

Room tip: Villas are perfect. Never assume things here; always ask.

I couldn't imagine a better time in Fiji than the time I spent at Namuka Bay. There is so much space and beautiful scenery that you never tire of looking at. The beach is so big it feels like you have it all to yourself and there is lots to explore.
Because Namuka is on a farm the food is always fresh. I never understood just how much difference freshness makes to food until I ate at Namuka Bay - you can't get chicken that taste that good in Australia! The girls in the kitchen sure know what they are doing!
All of the staff were so welcoming and caring. The always want to make sure you have a good time, even after you have finished your stay at their resort. They have some pretty interesting stories and are always keen to show you how to drink some Kava.
I was very sad to leave this place and hope it never changes. Coming back is a question of 'when' not 'if.'

Only one thing you must remember - do not go outside past dark with out Mosquito repellent!

I was not sure what I was going to do during Easter - until I did it !!! I flicked the yellow pages and Namuka Bay Lagoon Resort caught my eye. Picked up the phone made some enquiries - with the very friendly voice on the other end - I made up my mind to spend 3 days at the bay - my very first Easter weekend out on my own - WOW- all the excitement - driving all the way from Suva - to Cuvu Sigatoka was amazing - even the bumpy road to the bay was an exhilarating experience. The moment I arrived at the bay - I knew this was going to be the best Easter Weekend ever. The beach is just damn too nice, enjoyed the food specially lovo- the visit to the cave, morning walks on the white sandy beach, tried kayaking, snorkeling and swimming. The staff made me feel at home - thank you everyone - the room was nice and clean - loved the bathroom-showering under the stars, loved the country side with animals and of course the fresh drink of coconuts. I can go on and on - but if you don't appreciate what nature has to offer - than this place is not for you. I will remember this trip for a very long time. Anyone seeking some peace and quite - NAMUKA BAY RESORT has it all. I will definitely go back. Shila Narayan

Room tip: all the rooms are facing the beach - all rooms are good - easy to choose.

We had a villa facing the beach. Very good for the price paid. High ceilings big bathroom with open air shower. Very clean. The rooms come with a balcony , hammocks and direct access to the beach. It'seems quite isolated so make sure you have drinks and food or be prepared to get them from the restaurant in loco (a bit expensive). Perfect location for couples or group of friends or people looking for peace. Not really party. One of the guys working there is lovely and owns horses, so you can book horse riding. The staff is very chilled and "on Fiji time", but lovely. Electricity works just from 7pm to 6am. With struggles and is expensive. Overall was a good choice and we will come back

Thank you for your review. The namuka bay menus feature organic food which takes a while to harvest fresh and serve it the way that guests like it. Our menu is cheaper than all resorts on the coral coast meals are priced from Us8 . The room rates are the lowest on the coral coast from Us80 per night with direct bookings. Namuka is an eco friendly resort and power and wifi is through a diesel generator but soon solar panel power will be installled for the benefit of our eco concious travellers. We like to be seen as a wellness resort and We look forward to seeing you in paradise again.

What a beautiful place to recharge and forget about work! The staff are gorgeous, polite and extremely helpful. There is no power between 7am and 7pm so just rest or go snorkelling! The view is AMAZING! Remember to take cash for transfers , accom and room charges can be card. This is such a beautiful spot to stay if you want peace and quiet. Food is delightful, especially the fish. Thankyou Namuka Bay... Totoka xx Ruthie
