The Fiji Hideaway Resort is about 20mins from Sigatoka perfect spot to go do the waterfall tour and go into town for shopping. The place is not 5 star luxury however in my opinion it is a real Fiji experience. The rooms are exactly what I expected for a beachfront resort, well loved and great views. Some rooms may be a little worn but they are functional and nice to stay in. We stayed in the ocean view deluxe and it was perfect. If you want 5 Star top notch and don’t care for the Fiji experience then by all means book elsewhere, but the hideaway has many activities on for the guests and is very family friendly and we absolutely enjoyed our stay there. There is a massage spa on location which was a lovely experience. There is entertainment and lots of laughing. I feel the resort is a breath of fresh air with the laid back atmosphere and friendly staff who are genuinely welcoming and wanting to help make your stay great. We loved every moment of it and will go back the next time we go to Fiji. There was plenty of food options, cocktails were great and the snorkelling you can do right on the beach there and was amazing!! There is the odd cat or dog wandering which I don’t have any problems with but this is something that is everywhere and not just at the Hideaway. I highly recommend going to the Fiji Hideaway Resort for a fun relaxing holiday!

Lovely staff, very friendly, made my husbands 70th a special occasion. Although the rooms are tired and in need of updating, the dining room and bar area are great and around the pool is good but could probably do with a spruce up. We all (family of 17 of all different ages ) had a ball and wish we could of been there longer.

Firstly the true fijians at the resort made the place but that is about all that was good, the bure had faulty bedside lights, a shower where the drain did not work, taps on the sinks that were soooo loose, window shutters that were broken & all of the food was shocking, you were lucky if it was 1/2 warm & either under cooked or overcooked. We stayed there 14 yrs ago & the place was fantastic but after this latest visit i certainly would not go back.
