The staff are the heart and soul of this resort.

My husband and I were absolutely impressed with the amazing service and hospitality at this resort. There’s no doubt that the staff are the heart and soul of this place. From the very beginning, we were welcomed and treated like family. A special thanks to Mili, Vatu, Sabrina, and Merewalesi, they were so attentive and kind to us throughout our stay. Honestly, I wish I could name every single staff member. The resort itself was nice and clean overall, we didn’t have any issues with anything. The food was generally good at Sanasana, but we really liked some of the dishes at Navo and Toba. My husband really liked the Kokoda at Toba and the slipper lobster at Navo. I liked the king fish at Toba and the masala spiced Salmon at Navo. We loved the live music at the Kama (hope I’m spelling it right) lounge and the fire shows were amazing! They also left a birthday card and slice of cake for me in our room, a complete surprise that made me feel special on my bday. The beach was beautiful and the sunsets were breathtaking. 10/10

Great Experience

The buffet provided is excellent. The atmosphere is great and the staff are friendly. We had an excellent time at the hotel. The service of the hotel staff is on par. The food quality is nothing short of the name it has for itself over the years.

Very average room

Our second time at the hotel, we have had a very nice time, with the hotel beautiful and the staff friendly. Only gripe has been with the room, where we booked direct through a phone booking and were told we had a Club room with plunge pool, instead we were told we had a lagoon view, which was more like a jungle view at the end of the hotel, that smelled of damp. We tried resolving over the phone before arriving but the call mysteriously drops out every time and none calls back!
We asked to at least be given the club access and this was refused.

As per your discussions with Mere Qereqeretabua, our Front Office Manager today you had not booked a Club Room nor does your written confirmation state this, all bookings made, a confirmation is then sent and you had not booked a Club Room. Mere has been dealing with you so we are usure around no one getting back to you; Mere also offered as goodwill gesture a one day complimentary use in Club. A offer on reduced rate to upgrade if you wish was also extended. Our Housekeeping team also have assisted with the room issue. Mere and Ravikash our Executive Manager will attempt to connect and try to locate you tomorrow to clarify your review.

Bees and Honey at The Intercontinental

We are staying at the Fiji Intercontinental at the moment and have had a great stay and have enjoyed the water sports, golf and wonderful hospitality. Our family travels a lot and without a doubt, our hosts here are THE FRIENDLIEST and MOST WELCOMING hosts we have ever met. Interestingly, the highlight has been a little left field - the Beekeeping and Honey making tour run by expert Fijian apiarists and overseen by the Executive pastry chef was incredible. A little bit of science and a lot of culinary art made this one of the best resort activities we have ever experienced. Once we learnt how the bees did their stuff, we were then let into a world of how the honey is put to work in making some very tasty creations. The chef prepared the best “honey inspired high tea” you could imagine. Rolling back to the pool for the sunset was difficult. 10/10 for a Fijian Masterchef afternoon. It’s a must do when you’re here.

Overpriced but Fab beach!

We came here because we had heard great things about the actual beach to be honest. Have been to Fiji 8 times and were so disappointed with this hotel.

The beach was beautiful and thank goodness.

Our first room was overpriced and also the neighbours looked right on to our bed. We had curtains but seriously we wanted to look on to our view the garden and other people’s room.

I complained respectly and we were moved after about 3 hours upstairs( so much better) but then looked into our previous room very funny. Anyway food overpriced especially at the top restaurant and staff seemed so unhappy although all female staff were brilliant. I suspect most of the men working at the hotel were failed rugby players very ignorant.

Anyway I say visit the islands especially Paradise Cove.

Room tip: Don't stay here go to the islands
