We stayed for 8 nights in April for my wife's 50th birthday celebration along with our two daughters, their partners and our 1 year old grandson.
A holiday is what you make of it, and although the weather (Cyclone) was not as you see in the postcards, there are some things out of everyone's control, but you change things up and embrace it.
House has everything you need plus more. The generator kicked in and we were none the wiser the whole streets power was down from the cyclone.
While it was the house and location that drew us to book, the everlasting memories will be to the Outoftheblue team Gerry, Manu and Georgie who felt like they were part of our family.....very sad to say goodbye
Nothing was too much trouble, and they were discretely in the background but always available.
Gerry organised a special dinner party for my wifes 50th at the house with a chef, singers, fire dancers in a wonderful finale to our stay.
Definitely recommend Outoftheblue.
From the moment I emailed Dean with his prompt friendly replies, to pulling up the beautiful tropical landscaped driveway to walking through the entranceway to a stunning infinity pool with the ocean on our doorstep we had our breath taken away, we were greeted by our friendly host Jere (apologies if we spelt your name wrong) and shown through our stunning accomodation.
This place has EVERYTHING you need.
The cocktails are delicious, a fully stocked wine cabinet, the view is exactly what you picture a tropical island paradise to look like. We have kayaks and snorkelling gear. Everything you could wish for and more, Our accomodation is luxurious we love the open plan living and the beautiful air conditioning bedrooms with comfortable beds.
While we are living in Suva we wanted to show our visiting from Australia son and his partner a luxury side to Fiji and we truly couldn’t have chosen a better place.
We will definitely be returning, it’s going to be very VERY hard to leave. I could definitely get used to this sort of life.
Thank you Out Of The Blue for allowing us to stay at your wonderful home.
Great location on coral coast. Beautiful view. Clean & nicely decked out. Quiet and relaxing. Recommend if you want something different to a resort.
We fell in love with 'Out of the Blue - Fiji'!
Following a busy week, celebrating my wedding at The Warwick with over 100 friends and family...my family and I had 5 nights in Fiji to rest, recover, relax, and soak up more of what Fiji and the beautiful people of Fiji had in store for us.
We choose "Out of the Blue" because of its intimate setting: 4 bedrooms..enough rooms for us all, seperate lounge and living area, gorgeous infinity pool and private beach. We were sold.
And im glad to say, we were all (6 adults, 2 children) ecstatic with our decision to stay at 'Out of the Blue'.
- Communication with Dean.
From the get go, Dean was very prompt with his responses to my emails and accomodating when I asked to pay full amount instead of the payment schedule they have in place. Very professional. Thank you.
We were all blown away with how beautiful and spacious the rooms were, so much attention to detail from the light fixtures, art displays, candle and fresh flowers on the bedside cabinet. One room imparticular... the size of the bathroom alone was double if not triple the size of a room you would get at a resort, which was awesome! The bathrooms were just as stunning and all came with complimentary Pure Fiji toiletries...what a nice touch. We had so much space, which was a nice feeling to have whilst away on holiday with family.
Having had a weeks worth spoilt with hotel restaurant food for breakfast, lunch and dinner it was so nice coming to "Out of the Blue" where they had a fully equipped kitchen, large fridge, dishwasher and bbq outside where we had the option to be able to cook for ourselves if we wanted to. Some days we cooked, other times we made a trip to the supermarket just across the road, ate out or ate from the local BBQ stalls just down the road where you could buy a meal for $7FJD. It was nice to have options.
Considering it cost $4FJD to wash one peice of clothing at a resort, the washing machine and dryer was something we were looking forward to. Lol We were all able to do our washing at no extra cost. Bonus!!!
Lounge/Outdoor living areas:
Spoilt for choice with the many areas we could hang out, dine, drink together as a family. With the living area facing the sea, we were constantly reminded that yes...we were in paradise.
We are all water babies and the pool and beach was AWESOME! We had initally wanted to fill our days with activities around Denarau, Pacific Harbour, Sigatoka however cut our list of activities down to just 2days because we were more than happy to just stay 'home' at 'Out of the Blue'. Lol Now thats got to say something. We were already in paradise, we already had everything we needed. PS: That pink flamingo was a winner!!!! Lol
- The beautiful staff.
No words can express how blessed we felt to have had the pleasure of meeting such wonderful, kind, hardworking, fun loving people. Manu, Jerry, Nate, Rohit thank you for making us feel part of your own little family at 'Out of the Blue'. Ending our stay with a traditional lovo and kava ceremony together, that was defiitely a highlight for us all.
NB: There was a power cut along the coral coast that lasted hours, from morning until late at night. We did not realize there was a power cut at all, as Manu and staff had ensured the generator was on, and came again at night to ensure everything was fine. Thank you.
All in all...Would I recommend 'Out of the Blue'? MOST DEFINITELY!!!!
We left with our expectations...smashed out of this world!!!
We felt spoilt...
We felt looked after and cared for...
We felt that we were given the most perfect place and achieved our goal of creating more life long memories together, within my own family but also alongside our friends we met at 'Out ot the Blue' who are now family.
So with that...I say a massive 'Thank you!!!'..and we hope to see you again soon.
Yes it is someone's holiday home we were hiring not a 5 star resort, but if you are going to charge for promises then you should deliver!
We are a group of well travelled people and we were excited to stay at this property.
What a let down. The owners need to engage a better property manager/maintenance person and I did take a business card to contact them so I can elaborate further on the issues we were unhappy about.
On a positive note, the beds are super comfy and the floor plan is good. The two house keepers Nate and Susie were wonderful.
