After staying five nights at a luxurious resort the Mercure Nadi required an emotional adjustment. We booked here because we were flying out early the next morning. When we checked in, we were advised the AC wasn’t working and they would give us a fan instead. But didn’t we pay for a hotel WITH an AC? No form of compensation was offered. A discounted tariff or at least a drink voucher? The rooms were clean but very “old,” fortunately the fan worked but we couldn’t sleep with the windows open because it felt unsafe, and people were smoking on the balconies. We had a look at the breakfast before we checked out and it looked very ordinary. The staff were all very kind, but they didn’t ask if we enjoyed our stay when we checked out. I guess they expected we might complain. This hotel is not of Mercure standard. It is very expensive for this standard. Management should be ashamed.

Crap Hotel with pointless security. I stayed here for one night then thankfully was moved by my employer. It is opposite a brothel. I left my hotel and went for dinner. On the way back I was asked by a street hooker if I required her services. I politely declined and carried on to the hotel. 20 seconds after arriving in my room at the dreadful Mercure I heard a knock at the door. It was said prostitute who then tried to enter my room. I slammed the door and she repeatedly tried to gain entry. With knocks and protestations. Shaking the door on its rusty hinges. Eventually she got bored and left but this was my and fellow colleagues experience of this dive. Save yourselves the price of disappointment and book somewhere else. Also breakfast is a cheap frankfurter and a shiddy egg. If you stay here you have been warned. If you like ho’s then go for it but for the rest of us, avoid!!

Very very run down basic hotel. More like a motel actually with cinder block construction. Air con didn't work (voucher for bad quality over priced dinner was offered to be fair).

Location is fairly bad and dodgy although there are a few places to eat nearby.

Food was poor to mediocre and very expensive.

The branding and price would have suggested a degree of quality (not luxury) but no....

Staff had generally poor communication skills although some were helpful and all were friendly

The rooms need a major upgrade. upon checking in the rooms had broken A/c and the staff didn't even offer to change the room. Instead, they gave a fan which made horrible noise which made it difficult to sleep. To top it up I am an Accor member getting this treatment, I really feel sorry for a non-member booking here. when enquired to change and go elsewhere they threatened not to refund money paid. Very poor resolution as if they only interested in the money and not service.

Noisy area and a very basic hotel but its cheap and close to the international airport. Good for early/late flights. Hotel staff are friendly. When we travel again we will look for another place to stay. Rooms are outdated but functional and clean.

I stayed here early July for 3 nights. Arrived late evening, checkin was quick and lovely young man helped me up several flights of steps to my room with my bag. Room was clean, though outdated, but I had everything I needed. Mattress was so uncomfortable however, I could feel the springs. Not a good nights sleep. Breakfast selection was really fantastic, something for everyone. Lovely woman made omelettes on request. Pool and loungers are nice. The hotel was always very quiet, though there were children staying. Nothing was too much trouble for the smiley staff. Unfortunately the negative side is the restaurant service and ordering an evening meal. I think waiting over 1 hour 15 minutes for your meal, a simple stir fry, is madness. I ended up walking out and going across the road to eat. There were plenty of staff on in the restaurant as far as I could see. I guess guests are happy to drink in the meantime and perhaps that’s the hotel’s strategy? I would return to stay, as it served all my purposes and was close to the airport. But, I would not order dinner there and hopefully the mattresses will be replaced.. The bar made a great coffee.
