We spent our last night at Gateway before flying out the next morning to Australia after 7 nights on an Island. Gateway is an excellent choice for a stop over. The family suite was perfect for our needs, clean and spacious. My 7 year old thought the pool and slide was the bees knees. The food at the restaurant was excellent and staff were lovely. The free shuttle bus to the airport was very convenient. We will definitely be booking Gateway again when needing a stop over on the mainland.

Perfect for an overnight stop. The restaurant service was really slow and the food was poor, but all the staff were lovely.

The rooms were clean, but they had massive cots in them which made it really difficult to move around!

The shuttle bus was really handy, and perfect for a stress free journey for an early morning flight.

Make sure you request interconnecting rooms when booking if needed. We booked two rooms for the family, and it was only after unpacking that we realised that both rooms were interconnecting with neighbours, but not with each other 😂

This is a great place to stay if you’re flying in late and moving to a resort the next day. We walked from the airport to the hotel. Only 500 metres. The room was neat and functional. The staff were excellent, so friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely stay here again.
