A wonderful place to visit and recharge and relax.
Arrived at the airport and had a taxi to the port, you can get one cheaper than they arrange.
Very helpful staff, they meet you at the taxi and help take luggage. I was travelling with a large backpack and suitcase as moving to Australia. A nice boat ride over with the captain and staff. Arrived via transfer to a smaller boat, then an arrival that I’ve never had before, Sammy and Mr T singing and playing guitar, a Fijian welcome. This welcome and friendliness never waned. It was like a big family, spoke to the majority of all the guests, I was on my own and met a lot of lovely new friends and friendly people. The staff were so kind and I really think they surpass many 5star establishments. The food didn’t have the daily specials as advertised we were expected daily fish catch etc but it was adequate. As I am Gluten Free the breakfast wasn’t really enough. They had been advised I was GF, I only really was able to have cereal and fruit and one day the bacon and eggs as the majority of the other days there was food that wasn’t GF.
But I would stay again and take my own bread and extras or ring them. Highly recommend to go.

So much to like about this resort. The laid back fiji friendly vibe, feels like family on arrival. The staff are all lovely, and its a quiet "do nothing" kind of holiday on typical beautiful tropical isle. The beach bures have been modernised , and are prime beachfront with your own hammock under the coconut tree. Walk off your deck onto the sand. snorkel and watch whales and sealife from your deck sipping cocktails....perfect. ! I even encountered a surprise indoor visitor of a rather large lizard popping out of the electric jug when I went to use it! You can walk around the island, we took a torch one night to encounter the wildlife - lots of large crabs scuttling about and things rustling in the jungle. The baby turtles are super cute. The fish feeding small boat trip is fun. The massage girls do a great job. We did a shore side dinner one night, and a beachside lunch as extras in the package- a nice touch. Bula Vinaka !!

Things that could be improved- the food service is very....slow.... and sometimes a bit chaotic, missed orders, wrong food arriving, the selection was Ok, standard was ""ok" not amazing. The pork chops- super tender, and the tempura shrimp were good. Steak - tough. A few areas around the pool/ lobby/ bar needed a bit of attention so they didnt look "shabby" and they definitely need to invest in more water sports equipment. 1 tired paddleboard and 2 kayaks, 1 often being used by the staff to paddle out to the shuttle boats- is simply not good enough. The pics show at least 4 of each ! So please , Serenity, get some more in so the guests can enjoy he beautiful water , coral viewing and snorkelling that surrounds the island. The snorkel equipment is rather tired, so BYO if youve got a good set. I have happy memories of our stay, we did a 3 day/night all inclusive package, lolled about, relaxed, and unwound. The staff and their lovely way of interacting with you, was a highlight and the island itself...beautiful.

Perhaps the storms and tides have washed alot of sand out from the beach area. It needs some sand replenishment.

Room tip: If you book beachfront bure, request bures from 1-12 nice and close , from 13 -32 are a further walk. A tip for Mobility impaired.

The outstanding feature of Serenity is the staff.. without doubt some of the best hospitality we have experienced in our many travels around the world. The team led by Kelera Sami and Mr T are extraordinary in the quality of service provided.
Serenity was all we wanted it to be .. a place in the sun to simply chill for a couple of weeks

Stayed at the Serenity Island Resort for my first ever trip to Fiji and all I can say is wow! The staff, the Location, the Activities all 10/10. The beach Front Villa is so peaceful and feels so private. Each day there is new activities to keep busy but also just relaxing under the beach huts or by the pool is great. Snorkelling off the Island is also the best here. Staff where all super friendly and happy to have a chat whenever. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone.
