Upon our arrival both the proprietors, Diane & Andy came out to the drive to welcome us. This friendliness and caring continued throughout our stay. Our ensuite room was clean, freshly decorated , and tastefully furnished with a very comfortable quality bed. The breakfast with a wide selection was delicious, included local produce and eggs from their own free range chickens. There are many places of interest to visit within easy reach such as Gooderstone Water Gardens and Oxbrough Hall. We would return again and recommend this excellent b&b without hesitation.

We stayed for two nights , our Uber driver had an hard time finding the hotel since no sign . You have to trust your GPS , the hotel is behind the gate in front of the juice shop. Staff is very polite and attentive and the place is very clean but room was overpriced. Housekeeping did not change our towels and we had to use our dump wet ones on the second day. Breakfast was my favorite part, they prepare everything fresh just for you.

Thank you for your kind words! Given that Autor is set within a +100 year old historic courtyard branding it with a sign is not the best idea. But we understand and that is why we advise on the matter as soon as you book. Precise directions on how to get here are described in the welcome email. Extra towels are placed beneath the sink and additional towels are available upon request. We thank you once again for taking the time to share your feedback and promise to continue to make adjustments for the better.

‘home away from home’ is the theme but frankly could improve on that, a makeover would make it a little gem instead it’s a nice casual bed/breakfast. Window double glazing essential on such busy street!
Staff very friendly and overall good vibe 👍🏻

We stayed for two nights at Auor. The staff, especially Fernando, went above and beyond to support our needs. Any time we had questions or needed suggestions, every staff member worked to help us, including helping us figure out the bus system. They made us feel at home.

The location is excellent. It feels like it is in the bustle of a city, but is quieter than central Lima and is fun to walk around in. The rooftop garden is very cute and great for reading. The hotel itself is charming, with cute accents.

Breakfast is good and filing. We had eggs and bacon with avocado toast. The avocado was super fresh.

We found this hotel in a guidebook on Peru with a note saying “all hotels should be like the Autor” and we cannot agree more. The staff is friendly...the rooms are cozy...everything is clean...and the breakfast is plentiful and delicious. According to the staff, the courtyard here is more than 100 years old and very charming. Great location...walkable to the beach, the Indio market, and lots of restaurants and shops. Despite a bit of construction noise in the courtyard this morning (which did NOT wake us up) everything was perfect!
