My spouse and i stayed here for two weeks during our first days in Cuenca. There are four units and we occupied a studio with a loft. This is an exceptionally well-located property within a few blocks of Parque Calderon. While it is quite quiet, it is in a main restaurant corridor, and there are dozens of eatery options within a few steps. Stu and Patricia have made great efforts to give the property authentic colonial touches, from a ceramic courtyard to adobe walls with the help of a gifted architect. The kitchenette offers good opportunities to prepare breakfasts and simple meals. There is a laundry room with a free washer and dryer that is shared by the four units -- very welcome. The place is well-maintained, secure and clean. Would rent it again in a heartbeat.

This is the second time we have stayed with Stu in this beautifully restored Colonial Home (the first was last November). Our stay in November and the fantastic hosting of Stu and his wife are two of the prime reasons for us deciding to move to Cuenca. This facility has everything you could want, beautiful studio type apartments and excellent location to learn about Cuenca and the historic district. If you are visiting Cuenca for any period of time this should be the first place that you look for availability to ensure a great visit..
