We spent two nights in this hotel. The room was spacious and clean as well as the bathroom. Unfortunately we didn’t have a balcony or a view.
Breakfast was good and staff was very kind.
Good value for money.

We stayed at Balcon De Artes for three days from August 7th to the 10th. We had a wonderful experience. And the price was a lot less than what Trip Advisor lists. Just putting that out there. It’s an older style hotel with modern furnishings and remodeling. Our room was on the second floor and faced the street. The room was fantastic. Very cute and comfortable. The restroom was modern, had great water pressure and hot water! Yay! The hotel also has a washer and dryer which we put to use. With free detergent for a donation. They have a small kitchen for guest use, a fridge and storage room and a dining area. The hotel had WiFi on every floor so we never went without a strong internet connection. They had electronic key fobs to get in and out. And spare umbrellas guests can borrow. The hotel is across from two bakeries so the neighborhood carried that fresh bread smell. They also gave free coffee, water and tea. On check out day, they let us use the facilities, lobby and storage room until our bus left at 9pm. Which was an immense help. So we had access to WiFi, restrooms and water even after our official check out. This hotel and honestly, the city of Cuenca were both amazing. It’s within walking distance of everything you’ll want to visit in Centro. Loved our stay. Highly recommended. Oh, and they also have a roof top terrace. It’s a bit small and has a view of a neighboring church. We didn’t use it much but still nice to have.

Third time in Cuenca we decided to try a different hotel. Wow! Lovely hotel, wonderful rooms, hot water, delicious breakfast at an unbeatable price. We would not hesitate to stay here again. The staff were great, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the bathrooms modern with a fancy shower. We could not have asked for more. I highly recommend this hotel.

I moved to Cuenca in November 2017 and stayed until the end of June 2018 in the long-stay accommodations at Los Balcones. The hotel is well located, only three blocks from Parque Calderon, and close to the mercado and very charming. The first thing you see upon entering is a towering arrangement of roses in the dining room. The one-bedroom unit I rented was fully furnished with linens, and a fully stocked kitchen very comfortable bed and furniture. Weekly maid service is provided and there is a laundry on site. What makes this hotel exceptional is the staff. They are very friendly and helpful and I felt very much at home. Although the hotel is located in the center of the historic district, it was very quiet at night. I highly recommend Hotel Los Balcones for an extended stay. I had previously stayed in the hotel part and it was wonderful as well!
