Very Accomodating

We were just getting started on our South America travels when we came to Pucon and Hostal Geronimo. Roderigo met us at the Temuco airport and started educating us about the region straightaway. We had a balcony room that faced the Villarica Volcano. Nice accommodations and a basic breakfast but it more than met our needs. There was a hiccup on our departure and the taxi failed to get us to the right bus station. After we ran for 6 or 7 blocks (with luggage in tow) and found the right station, our bus was gone. Johana had several of her staff pick us up at the bus station and set off on a bus chase. About half way to Puerto Varas.... success! A harrowing ride down the motorway but what an added adventure to share on the rest of our travels.

A fantastic experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. This is by far the best value for money in the south of Chile. The hotel is very well located, the rooms are comfortable, clean and warm and the breakfast was delicious. What I liked most about the hotel was the customer service. The staff here go well beyond their way to make you feel at home and they clearly understand the concept of hospitality and the importance of providing a high quality service to guests. Staff are always be on board replying to your emails promptly, special thanks to Johana Villagran (owner), she was fantastic, patience and very knowledgeable. What else would you want?

We had an outstanding stay at Hotel Geronimo in January this year. The staff is simply amazing!! So helpful, social, and kind people :)

The room we stayed in was very cozy with a nice queen-size bed, a relatively big closet, a cozy balcony, and a nice and fresh bathroom! There was a TV with a variety of channels, and the rooms are cleaned every day.
We stayed there with my 2 year old sister and they were so helpful, very child friendly! Since our room was on the second floor, they let us keep my sister's stroller in a room downstairs so that we didn't have to carry it up and down the stairs every time we went out. They did also let us have all of our luggage in that same room on our check-out day so that we could spend a nice last day in Pucón without having all of our heavy suitcases with us.

The breakfast was also very nice, it isn't Hilton class of course, but it had different kinds of bread with a variety of things to put on it; Chilean manjar, jam, butter, cheeses, ham etc. There was also hardboiled eggs, scrambled eggs, coffee, tea, different kinds of juices, different kinds of fresh fruits etc. So it was a very nice breakfast for the price that you pay to stay there! They also provide a "take-away breakfast " if you take an early trip (before breakfast starts) to the volcano for example, like my mother did. The staff made some nice sandwiches with a drink for her to have on the volcano trip :)

The only thing that I could say is on the negative side is maybe that the WiFi didn't work in our room. On the other hand it worked absolutely perfect in the lobby where they have cozy sofas, and we had the TV in our room so it wasn't the end of the world really.

If you go to Pucón, I really recommend Hotel Geronimo!! :)

My wife and I recently stayed at this lovely, centrally located small hotel in Pucon
The room with balcony was wonderful - very comfortable and at a fair price
The breakfast is delicious - you can ask for eggs which are very tasty
Rodrigo and his wife are the bosses of this hotel - they are very kind, extremely knowledgeable and good fun. All of the other staff are smiling and kind ... Especially Mario and Mauricio who seem to be always available to help
Wifi available downstairs in restaurant and reception + lounge
Wonderful stay ... Highly recommended
Muchas Gracias Rodrigo ... Mui sympatico

We stayed at the "best" room with a queen size, a balcony and a view to the volcano.

It is quite expensive but the room was amazing!

On the day we traveled to the volcano the host left us a sneak since we left before breakfast started.

We stayed for two nights at Hotel Geronimo. The cost was 55,000 CLP, which was a little pricey for us, but maybe not for Pucon.

Pros:
Friendly staff
Good location
Easy to park on the street if their parking lot is full
Good breakfast

Cons:
Smaller rooms

They did our laundry at a very reasonable price. The breakfast was a buffet, which was nice. Coffee was barely adequate, but we found this to be the case at many places in Chile. I liked the hairdryer in the bathroom and the little extra touches.
