Going up the steep, narrow, poorly paved road to the hotel can be challenging, but once you get there, the place is lovely.
The inn is charming. Our room was large and well appointed, with a big window and a great view of the lake. The bathroom was great except for the lighting. It was overhead, which made for dark faces, so shaving or putting on makeup was a bit difficult. Also the wifi was quite spotty. It worked in some spots, but not others.
The owners were great. They have a small restaurant attached to the hotel, which serves an excellent breakfast and sandwiches and soups at other times. One day our group went to the supermarket to buy dinner. We were missing a few things like mayonnaise, napkins, forks, bottle opener, etc. Our hosts allowed us to use the restaurant and provided us with whatever we were missing, all with a smile and no extra charges. Not many inns would allow that. It was lovely.
We would surely stay at CasaEstablo again.
