Walk along the only road out of Stanley and you come to the solar walk

Great for showing you the relative size of the solar system

A great way to stretch your legs if you’ve been on a cruise ship for several day

This is a good quick stop along the main road in stanley. If you have elementary age kids, great spot for a quick science test!!!!!

I tried in vain to complete the solar system walk. However, one of the sculptures (possibly mercury?) was at the top of a very large, rocky hill. So I had to take a rain check.

This was a quirky thing to find in Stanley, but we liked the idea behind it. It is a series of planet sculptures set out along the foreshore path with the distances between them to scale. Really keen people could walk the entire length, but we didn't.
