We had a one day sorex in the Falklands and chose Lucky Private Tour. Upon arrival we were waited in the pier precisely from our tender boat and we started our fantastic tour. This tour - better to say our guide Glenn - was not just informative but very friendly in telling us a lot about his roots - giving us a wide scope and outline of the life of the people living in these remote areas of the world. Visiting wonders of wildlife we managed to see a lot of different penguins birds and even sea lions resting ashore at the former lighthouse place. We were encouraged to taste some savory berrys - they were marvelous! We were able to witness the hunt of sea lions for penguins on the shore ! Then were driven to places of the 1982 battles and learned a lot about the history of war.It was very interesting to get to know about the legislative life of the Falklands. Driving through the streets of Port Stanley seeing buildings, churches reminded us as if we had been somewhere in the UK. The whole day was full of excitement and fun due to Glenn's dedicated and well prepared narration and personalized approach. To our greatest surprise and recognition he did very well prepare himself even from our native country. We returned to the pier precisely at the time anticipated. When returning back to the ship we both agreed that we enjoyed every moment of the day and besides the wonderful weather on that day our guide Glenn had an undisputed part in it!
Lucky Private Tour was one of the best agencies we had with good value - highly recommended!

This is long overdue. My wife and I spent an incredible and informative day with Julio in January 2020. Julio met us at the port. We were late to arrive due to being tendered to the port. His vehicle was clean and outfitted with materials related to our tour as well as bottled water and fruit and snack bars. Always cheerful, Julio provided us with a personal tour of Gentoo and Magellanic penguin colonies at two different locations on the island. He answered our endless questions about life in the Falklands. He shared a couple of other sights and explained the progress of the mine removal process. He returned us to the port with plenty of time to walk the streets of Stanley and visit the museum. By the time the tour was over, we felt as if we were saying goodbye to a family member. Truly a unique and enjoyable adventure for us... enhanced by Julio's personal touch. Highly recommend.

Run by Julio Ubeda, you could not ask for a more professional and personal tour of the Falklands. Julio takes care of every small detail to ensure the traveller has a first rate experience. My tour was personalized according to my interests, but Julio also added a few items I had not considered and thoroughly enjoyed. His knowledge of the history, culture and traditions left me with a new-found understanding and appreciation for this magical place in the South Atlantic!

We paid US$900 for five people for a tour. It was supposed to be six hours but we were dropped off in a parking lot in town in about three hours. We were to have a four wheel drive auto, which turned out to be a VW van, and we were to have a "tour," which implies a tour guide (especially for $900!) yet only had a driver who admitted he was not a tour guide. We visited the penguins and the lighthouse, each stop the driver let us out and when we asked questions we were told to "read the posts." He said he was not a tour guide and can only tell us what he knows. He then drove us through town and did point out a few buildings, then to the last stand of the war. Seriously disappointed in the tour, especially for the money! It was not a tour at all, but a GLORIFIED UBER RIDE. There was NO tour guide and the poor driver didn't know what to do since he could not answer our questions. He did his best but seems like he gave up and dropped us off in a parking lot and said we can go inside and have a drink at the place located adjacent to the parking lot. Found out that we literally could have spent $50 to take the five us to see the penguins. The lighthouse was meh without some history so easily could have been skipped. Walking in town we could hit all the buildings as they are literally there as you get off your cruise tender. The last stop, again, could have been skipped since there was no reference to what happened. It was almost literally an open field, only a small amount of remnants left to the imagination. Again would have been way more interesting and insightful with a proper tour. I would NOT recommend this company at all. This was less than half a tour..................

We arrived with a cruise and the cruise company didn’t say much about options for port Stanley prior to the trip. We found lucky tours on line, booked early and had a great experience. Julio did all the arrangements and we were hosted by Robert who fills in part time. Robert was a great host and it was really interesting getting a locals view point on life in the islands. Penguins everywhere, great access and covered a lot of ground in just a few hours.
