Glorious setting on the waterfront, with breathtaking views from each window.
Property is if a high quality - bedrooms are good size with comfortable beds. All are self contained - mine had a shower.
Two lounges, and tea/coffee (and often cake/biscuits) always available there.
Food was very good and tasty - with large portions. Breakfast includes cereal, fruit, toast and preserves, full cooked English, OJ, tea and coffee.
For supper, if you are offered the lamb - take it. Lots of it and beautifully cooked. Some souvenirs for sale including postcards/stamps, pins and penguin adoption scheme.
We were picked up from MPA by Al the Warden and generally very well looked after.
The Argentine War Cemetery, Goose Green battlefield, Col H Jones memorial, GG community hall (where locals kept captive in 1982), and the sheep shearing sheds (where all argentine POWs were held) are all within easy reach. Given our reduced time in Darwin (see below) Al managed to cram the above into an abbreviated late afternoon tour. Unfortunately we didn't have time to visit San Carlos and the British War Cemetery.
Sadly our flight from the UK was delayed a full day meaning we only had one night here. It just wasn't enough!
