This place has potential but it wasn't met on our trip. Mike is a very nice guy from USA. He is married to a Filipina and has a couple daughters. They are a very nice family, Mike is very nice and outgoing and wants to make your stay as pleasant as possible. He will happily show you around the area at no extra charge.
This was a bad choice for us however as it is a bit far from White Beach where the kids wanted to spend most if their time. We moved there after a few days and Mike did his best to accommodate this request. It is much closer to Sabang for those wanting that area.
We were also charged extra for each person over 2 I believe maybe 4, we were 7 including driver. This made it overpriced for what we received. I thought since it was an American the standards would be higher. The toilets didn't always flush easily, some areas were dirty, garbage can was filthy, etc. We booked on only a couple hours notice and this is their main home so if they had more time they would have prepared better. It also rained much of the time so we weren't able to avail of the tours, water toys etc. He has plans to improve many of the little annoyances. Once this is done and with advance booking this could be a decent choice but he does need to lower the cost especially for larger groups. The added cost is not justified by an extra breakfast and a little extra hot water and laundry.

That is correct that this is our home when we don't have guests. It is not a hotel, and in many ways it is far better than a hotel. For example, if you are looking for all inclusive services, such as a delicious buffet breakfast, wifi, water sports equipment, full service maid to wash your clothes, cook and clean, and a full service tour guide to give you advice and show you the best that Puerto has to offer at the best rates, all included within your rental rate, then we are the place for you!
It's true that we are a 15+ minute ride from White Beach, as clearly shown on the map. Our ocean view condo offers a peaceful, quiet experience in an upscale tropical neighborhood away from the noisy concrete jungle of White Beach or Sabang.
But we have a great little Encenada beach less than 1km away and all the other major attractions of Puerto Galera are just a short drive or walk away.
We are happy to say that the toilets are now fixed, the trashcan is replaced, and we have a new 50" flat screen tv for all our guests to enjoy! All were minor projects that would have been taken care of before your stay if we had more time to prepare for your group. Many other improvements have been made to the indoors and outdoors space as well!
I'm sorry that the weather was poor during your stay. Puerto Galera is much more fun in the sun! I'm sure that may have been a major contributing factor to your "average" review, but it's not something in our control.
We will not be lowering the price, as it is a much better deal than any other place in the area, when you consider all the services we offer, but I do appreciate your suggestions and honest review.
