The hotel itself isn't bad. Staff are very helpful and friendly. As others have said, the rooms are showing their age a bit, but are still perfectly adequate.
There is a large spread laid on for breakfast, with the usual mainly Asian style food, plus cereals, toast etc. All pretty good.
The bar is small but pleasant, and you can get a beer there if you wish.
There's a handy little parade of shops and restaurants nearby, which is very convenient.
I stayed on three separate occasions in two weeks, on a work trip.
The unfortunate thing is that the WiFi is abysmal. While the signal is strong, the network constantly either loses internet or boots you off and asks you to sign back in (at times, this was happening every 30 seconds). It's not so bad during the day, but becomes unusable when the hotel fills up in the afternoon/evening.

I am staying at the hotel now and can't wait to leave.
Food in the restaurant is awful, the buffet if you don't get there at the start is cold and not replaced frequently.
Rooms are dated and shabby.
Had no beer in the bar for 3 days and no-one could be bothered to sort it out.

Room Tip: Choose another hotel

Initial entry while waiting at the lobby was very warm and the hotel aircon was not switched on. Moreover the aroma neubaliser was emitting so strong an aroma to fill up the lobby. Imagine no airflow and warm and with the strong aroma therapy was not that pleasant to the nose. The locals were alright with that and some were seen puffing their cigarettes.

Room that I was living right was at the end of the corridor and corridor was warm as the aircon was switched off too. Must to my horror when I opened the door I could see insects running into a hole on the floor board. Room condition was quite bad as I could see the floor boards were peeling and water leaking from the aircon unit in the middle of the room. The table lamp had exposed wires to the power socket. The floors were peeling and the chair was badly stained.

Bathroom wise there was a lot of mould and dark stains which give you the uneasy feeling, shower head was rusted till it was totally black in colour. While the google website looks decent but it was the total opposite once you stay in there.

Breakfast from the hotel was not of a minimal standard as the some of the dish was cold and the butter I requested was straight out from the freezer. Toaster could not work and the selection of drinks was just cordial juice other than coffee and tea. There was a chef to make your choice of eggs though to brighten your breakfast a little.

Hotel wise may well had past its glorious years like 30 years. Only good point that it was located near museum and many choice of eateries like JCO, mini marts, japanese , local food and mini mall. It was near during the fasting month and many eateries were hung with cloth to minimize visual of food patrons in the restaurant.

Room Tip: I cannot give anymore help on this

The hotel is conveniently located near alot of restaurants and a small mall , so that could be a plus. The interiors are not too bad and the rooms are clean and comfortable. They have a garden at the back which needs a bit of fixing . If you just need a place to sleep in which is affordable then this is recommended.
