Craving kebab from Germany made us went to this restaurant year ago, but it came out totally different with our expectation. The decoration, food, and atmosphere are totally on the different level. The food are expensive since it was a fine dining resto, but the taste are totally worth the price. We ordered Mezze platter, Adana kebab beef, manti, and turkish coffee. The beef meat was really tender and rich with flavour

Turkuaz is a Turkish restaurant in the Kebayoran Baru district of Jakarta. It is a fairly large place with plenty of seating. There is a large private room with ornate Turkish decorations. The main area is relatively generic and could be anywhere. For some reason it is bring your own wine but beer is served.

The dining options are reasonable. Serving of mezze style choices is pretty good with nice enough bread to go with things like hummous. The hummous is quite good but not overly flavoured. It is simple and effective.

Vegetarian options are fairly limited. An interesting sounding dish with various vegetables was small and fairly unsatisfying. The flavouring was nice but it was quite a limited plate. Eating lots of hummous instead seems to be the better choice.

Service is attentive with more breads and dishes being brought out. The team were happy to open bottles of wine brought from outside. English was spoken but Bahasa Indonesia works better.

Price was moderate. This is not cheap eats but is far from the most expensive of Jakarta offerings. It is relatively simple food in a reasonable but not exactly exciting environment.

Jakarta does not have great Turkish restaurants. Turkuaz is an ok place to eat. The hummous is fine but not special. It is a reasonable Turkish offering.

Nice cozy Turkish restaurant in Jakarta . I had the lamb and my wife had chicken. Both dishes were great. Would go back more often if it was not so expensive . Baklava was ok but really small

I had been looking forward to trying Turkuaz as I had heard such good things and Senapati is already my favorite neighborhood for eating out. Well, I have to say, I loved the food and the space is really cool. But oddly, they had only two bottles of the house white wine left in the whole place. I understand running out of a popular dish on a Saturday night, but to be out of alcohol, almost entirely, is just not right. Luckily they suggested going next door to get wine from Le Quartier which we did. But then the wait staff was very confused and acted like they'd never served wine before. It was all very strange for a restaurant that gets such good reviews. I'd suggest that when a party of 6 makes a reservation a day in advance and then calls a few hours before to confirm the reservation that tell you about their shortage of wine. We certainly would have chosen a different restaurant had we known of this problem.

Having said all that, the food was fantastic. We had a variety of breads, cheeses, kabobs and baklava and it was all delicious. But I just can't give a better rating because of the lack of adult beverages and the way it was handled. I will come back again but hope that I have a better experience.

Stepped into a whole different world here in Turkuaz! Lovely decor w a small corner showcasing baklava options and seated private rooms upstairs. Food took a slight wait to arrive and we got a dish that wasn't what we ordered but already each divided them on our plates so did not had it returned. Must try would be the warm Turkish bread, appetizer platter and LAMB SHANK which was delicately tender and flavorsome! Also try their selection of tea! Pics at Instagram: richfulllife
