A historical river in Nanjing. But there are a lot of people there! And the area surrounding the river became extremely commercial. Although you can take boat tours there, it's still quite noisy and busy & I personally don't really enjoy a place with so many people.

The most famous river in Chinese literature. It had been mentioned in many books and full of stories. Really different experience from other cities.

Must have a boat ride along the river ,
Night is very beautiful and more colorful all around this area.
They have decorated the boat very well.
I enjoyed well. Recommended to visit there in the evening or night.

I visited Nanjing during the Lantern Festival in March 2017 and had the pleasure of enjoying the Qin Huai River when it was fully illuminated. The area is much more beautiful when it was all lit during the Lantern Festival. However, I am not sure if there is always some illumination, or if the lighting was for the Lantern Festival.

There are also numerous restaurants and shops in the surrounding area. There are also boat rides that take you in the canals, which looked interesting.

This makes for a beautiful stroll to enjoy downtown Nanjing.

The river just right by the Confucius temple. Worth visiting, especially towards the evening when they light up the decorative lanterns.
