Best location but small bed

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 7 Jul 2019via mobile
Small but clean room. Good place to sleep after long day . Food and shopping are in few steps away from the hotel. Room has most necessary amenities but adding a few hooks on the wall would be nice as the small room does not have enough cloth hangers. No restaurant service as it is meant for good location. Bed is too small though

We did booked and stay at M1 Hotel MongKok. We are group of 4 families with 13 guests. Hotel check in staffs are so nice and very professional. Smooth check in-check out with no problems. Rooms are very cleaned except beds new to upgrade. Location is super convenient, it just a block away from MongKok MTR station exit B2. Just walk distance to everything, money exchange just cross street, lady’s street market couple block. Definitely willing to recommend anyone want to stay with convenient location when travel to HK.

Small about 50 rooms simple modern hotel, in the heart of Mongkok opposite Fa Yuen Street Market and short 2 mins walk to Mongkok MTR. Streets shopping, many eateries, 7-11 are within steps.
Room size is small but it is normal for Hong Kong. There is shower stall (no hooks) separate from a toilet stall, both tight. They have frosted glass doors so shadows can be seen from the outside. The sink is outside the shower stall. Basic bath amenities provided. 2 free bottled water provided everyday. The spring in the mattress could be felt, the housekeeping said they will do something about it but nothing was done. I made do by putting 2 towels over the mattress. There is no card access lift meaning anybody could go to any floors. There is a taxi stand about 50m away on the street behind the hotel if unable to stop one in front of hotel.

Not the hotel for comfort and service, but a convenient overall clean hotel. Overall it fits my requirements, reasonable rates at a good location.

Location is perfect.. Near to MTR and ladies street. Plenty of food and retail shops.

Bed: King size bed but center area is hard

Bathroom: The motorised curtain is not working and tiny bathroom.

Staff: Unfriendly and unapproachable.

The location of this hotel is fabulous. The hotel however, is described as a boutique hotel but does not have a dining room or bar or any facilities other than your room so be prepared for this. The rooms are cleaned well daily. The hotel is very close to subways, buses, malls, cheap eats, markets. When traveling in Hong Kong be sure, ladies, to have tissues in your handbag. There are not many public toilets so those that you do find have been well used... After 2 days of walking many kilometers (by mistake) we purchased a sim card for our phone and this made getting around so much easier. We were given good advice not to use the subway before 10am and after 6pm. Excellent advice. There is lots to do in Hong Kong but be aware of the population - everything takes time. It is a very well organised place and the people are lovely, no pushing or aggravation and in Mong Kok there is not much English.

Room tip: They do have superior rooms at a superior price but we didn't take a look. I advise against going 'budget'.

The location is great, right in the middle of busy Mong Kok, with MTR station in less then 2 min walk distance. Lots of restaurants and shops around. The room was too expensive for what it offers. We booked a triple room, and we had to take turns to open our luggages. Not much space to walk around. It did the purpose and the location was really convenient, but for that price, not worth it. Staff was efficient at check-in and nice.
