The only pull is the great location

3.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 28 Mar 2018via mobile
Stayed here for 3N with my husband. They allow deposit to be "blocked" using credit card hkd1k for 3N

Location: great as it was very near Arygle Centre and the MongKok mtr entrance
this was the only draw.. (8/10)

Room wise: very standard. towards end of the night, i could smell the sewer from my toilet, was quite bad at times.. Had to close the toilet door and spray my perfume

Bed is really hard, not firm type but hard where i could feel the springs poking into my back
but it was still alright for the price

walls are thin.. i could hear when people open and closed/bang their doors

(6/10)

Service: staff werent very helpful
i asked for foot massage reccomendations and staff told me he doesnt know
i googled for a few and asked if any of these were nearby (showing him address of coz) and i googled for those in mongkok
he say he doesnt know at all
doesnt seem care, really
housekeeping was sloppy too
i had left the "Do Not Disturb" light on and was about to get changed when housekeeping pushed my door open without warning
(2/10)

Overall, the only draw is its location

Room is nice decorated, clean and comfortable. Room is not big but it is not as small as some hotel rooms in Hong Kong. Basin is at outside. Both shower and toilet are separated, but small.

Many eating place, and shopping are around. So, it is very convenience. Very near to Train station and near the airport bus route too. For those on the budget, you can take bus E21 to reach this hotel instead of A21.

They required I believe 500HKD for room deposit. We had not gotten our HKD just yet and instead had to put down 100USD (which is more than HKD when converted). The front desk does not speak much English and aren't very welcoming. It is a little hard to find, on google I believe they note this hotel as previously named A Hotel.

Location otherwise was pretty close to the main roads for shopping in Mongkok. The best part of this room is the rain shower, roomy shower with great water pressure. The separate toilet room was not as clean as the rest of the room (corners of it), but still cleaner than the other hotel we stayed at in Hong Kong. Beds are a little hard and the view isn't spectacular. We only stayed a night for our flight out to Taiwan, but it was sufficient enough.

Right in the center of mong kok. Food? Shopping? Souvenir? You name it, they have it.
Room was small, but i guess its pretty common in HK. Room condition was okay, tend to wet your room floor after every shower therefore the floor outside the toilet was having some crack. And there is a wooden plank in the shower which i think cos the the shower to have a moldy smell. Overall still a good place to stay in

loved this hotel. big for kowloon. we had a suit. no restuarant but there are tons just outside the door. the best being aberdeens fish house next door- OMB the dumpling soup is to die for. the bed was very hard and super comfy! front desk efficient but not super nice. maids were GREAT and very pleasant. floor to ceiling windows in both rooms. really liked this place a lot. just be prepared kowloon is bustling! and it's right outside the door!! room was very quiet though. would def stay again!

Room tip: nice sheets, nice rooms.

Pros:
*Very near to Mongkok MTR (Exit B2), be prepare to climb the staircase with your luaggage.
*Walking distance to Ladies Market.
*Very near to Fa Yuen Street.
*Nearby alot of eateries open till late or 24 hours.
*Room size consider acceptable in Hong Kong standards, just nice for 2pax.
*Aircon is very cold.

Cons:
*Some staffs is unhelpful and unfriendly
*First 3days they still providr free bottled water but last 2days, they told us their management changed policy, so from now on no free bottled water.
*WIFI is only accesible from hotel lobby but not hotel room, even they indicate that hotel room had WIFI.
*They will collect cash HKD500 deposit upon check-in, they do not accept Credit Card as they keep on repeating "THEY ARE ONLY A SMALL HOTEL".
*One of the lady which usually saw her at night, very rude, unhelpful, unfriendly... Ask her for direction, she asked you to open google map and find on your own.
*Toilet is small, no shelf rack to put shampoo, shower gel... etc
*Water leaked from the bathroom after shower.
*Not enough space to hang clothes, towels.. They do not provide wardrobe.
*Television channels not much selection.
*Lobby is small and cramp.
*Storage of luaggage and retrieving of luaggage has to be "SELF-SERVICE", hotel staffs will not bring it in/out for you.
*Better to lock your luaggage as the place to store your luaggage is not really secure, they just put beside one corner of the lift lobby and barricade it... Anyone which passby the lift lobby can just go in to take luaggage.
