Average Hotel and some of the staffs is unhelpful and unfriendly, only plus point is the location.

3.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 19 Nov 2016via mobile
Pros:
*Very near to Mongkok MTR (Exit B2), be prepare to climb the staircase with your luaggage.
*Walking distance to Ladies Market.
*Very near to Fa Yuen Street.
*Nearby alot of eateries open till late or 24 hours.
*Room size consider acceptable in Hong Kong standards, just nice for 2pax.
*Aircon is very cold.

Cons:
*Some staffs is unhelpful and unfriendly
*First 3days they still providr free bottled water but last 2days, they told us their management changed policy, so from now on no free bottled water.
*WIFI is only accesible from hotel lobby but not hotel room, even they indicate that hotel room had WIFI.
*They will collect cash HKD500 deposit upon check-in, they do not accept Credit Card as they keep on repeating "THEY ARE ONLY A SMALL HOTEL".
*One of the lady which usually saw her at night, very rude, unhelpful, unfriendly... Ask her for direction, she asked you to open google map and find on your own.
*Toilet is small, no shelf rack to put shampoo, shower gel... etc
*Water leaked from the bathroom after shower.
*Not enough space to hang clothes, towels.. They do not provide wardrobe.
*Television channels not much selection.
*Lobby is small and cramp.
*Storage of luaggage and retrieving of luaggage has to be "SELF-SERVICE", hotel staffs will not bring it in/out for you.
*Better to lock your luaggage as the place to store your luaggage is not really secure, they just put beside one corner of the lift lobby and barricade it... Anyone which passby the lift lobby can just go in to take luaggage.

Stayed for 3 nights at level 15 at a king superior room.
Room size :Considered a big room, for a HK standard size room as I can easily put 2 luggage bags & plenty of space to walk about. Just be careful with the shower room as it can easily leak out if you are turning high volume of water.
Location: is very good, as it is just 5 mins from MTR Mongkok exit B2 (once outside the exit, walk towards SASA, walk pass FFG (martial arts center) & hotel is just round the corner, on your left). For those coming from Airport & taking the airbus (remember to get the cheaper return tickets!), alight at Mongkok Argyle Center, walk towards your left, around the corner, you will see SASA as the location benchmark. If you are going back to Airport, just walk over to Grand Tower bus stop which is just 10 mins walk from the hotel, using HSBC tower as your benchmark location.& of course, ladies market, fa yuen market, langham place is also just nearby.
Food : Plenty of food outside, you will be spoil for choice :) Highly recommend Fukkee Porridge which is just 5 mins walk away.
Overall experience : Recommended place to stay!

Perfect Location if you want to save time and money for shopping. The room is clean and the size is just right compared to other hotel rooms in hongkong. They do not offer breakfast buffet and they are very strict with their checkout time. They don't give allowance, you need to checkout at 12:00nn or else you have to pay extra every succeding hour. Very near the MTR station maybe 20 steps and you will reach the MTR station already. There are a lot of restaurants outside the hotel so there won't be a problem looking for breakfast. The only downfall is the staffs are not friendly, they don't smile or assist you politely.

One quote from Games of Thrones to sum up the whole experience for this hotel: "Where I come from, guests are treated with respect, not insulted at the gates." - Daenerys

We checked in the hotel in the late evening (around 9PM) and realised that there was no one at the counter. Despite the fact that all the customer's check-in cards and personal information all laid out alphabetically at the counter table, we waited for a good 30 plus minutes before deciding to take our card (including our personal information) and check in ourselves.

After settling our luggage, we straight away went down to the counter to check if anyone was there. We saw 2 staff were there and told them that we have checked ourselves in after quite a wait. That was when one of the staff stood up and yelled at us for doing so. How are we supposed to know that we ought to wait up with no signs, no staff, and all our cards and information laid out at the counter? That staff continued to raise her voice and argued relentlessly till her manager needed to tell her to stop so we could settle it professionally.

The whole 3 nights stay was needlessly said uncomfortable as the female staff keep showing us faces whenever we saw her at the counter. We felt so insecure that we didn't even dare to call housekeeping, fearing that she might do something bad to our personal belongings as she seems so angry, resentful and disrespectful.

We were 2 adults and 2 kids in a superior king room. PROS: Very affordable rate, close to the MTR station, walking distance to Wellcome, ladies market, sneaker street, mcdonalds, Langham place mall and lots of places to eat right outside. Separate shower and toilet (no bidet) which is great, clean restroom which is a must, built in USB outlets!, housekeeping cleans room and changes towels and toiletries everyday, large windows (but view is not so nice), blackout curtains, strong water pressure, decent room size compared to other hotels in the area. You can tell that this hotel is still quite new judging from the tiles in the bath, towels and linen. CONS: the place is not that clean, the floor is dusty, right in front of the elevator near the lobby was a waste basket filled with trash and it was there for 2 days, the management did not bother throwing it out. There was something on the bed or comforter that gave us insect bites. I know this because we always get new bites when we wake up. Also, when we were checking in, the front desk people (a lady and a guy) did not even greet us, a small good evening or hello would be nice, the lady wouldn't even make eye contact. Also, of all the hotels I have stayed at, this is the only hotel where the staff (guy) tries to avoid the guest, every time we come in the door he would suddenly be looking at his table or computer acting busy so he doesn't have to greet us. It's not necessary but it was just awkward. I actually feel sorry for him. This hotel could be a great hotel, they just need to work on the cleanliness and customer service.
