I think I found this on Trip Advisor and man what a find this was. Frankly this is one of those restaurants you don’t want to write a review on, cause you sort of want to keep it secret. But hey, I don’t live here so...there you go.
We actually walked from the MTR - that was a bit of a mistake as you have to climb up a million stairs. Well worth it, though. The place is really small. Just a bar on the left with maybe 10 seats from where you can watch the cooks at work and another bar to the right on the wall which seats maybe another 10. So you get how this gets full pretty quickly. We arrived just past 6pm. They had just opened and the left side towards the chefs was already full.
We ordered the truffle fries and braised beef rib dumplings to start with. Both was amazing. We continued with the tempura fish bao and the special of the day scalion chicken bao. Both were fantastic. The tempura fish had a bit of a sweet note from the tamarind. And of course I could not leave without tasting the sweet bao. I took the salt ice cream with caramel. I was genuinely tempted to try the green tea bao as well but I was already so stuffed. The food is really fabulous and the service is super nice and helpful. I really hope they can keep up the quality.
