Where do I begin - 2 hour queue there - sewage leak right in the middle of hundreds of people- only when I complained did anyone care. When buying the ticket I was told the sky space was not worth bothering with - well it definitely is. During the queues you could see the museum aspects of the tram service but you are herded like sheep. All in all pathetic. The view at the top is amazing though but probably better to get a cab, bus or donkey than the tram - used it 25 years ago and it was great but I guess the Chinese Gvt got greedy. Finally, you can skip the queue like royalty if you also but a Madame toussards ticket, but frankly I think that is ethical as stealing a kidney. My photos show the queues, the sewage and the view.

The Peak Tram is an excellent way to get to the top of Victoria Peak, however if you don't get there early, you will have to wait in a very, very, very long line. If you want to go at night, get a taxi.

Likely to be the worst 100HKD I have spent in HK.
Long queues, overcrowded peak with big tourism $$$ to be made through corny, overpriced souvenir shops and screeching official photographers.
2 stars as the view over HK has at least slightly soothed the pain of getting there.

We took the tram down from The Peak. Was a nice ride with some good views of the city. Only had to wait about 20 minutes which was okay. The queues to go up looked horrendous so I recommend taking a taxi up and getting the tram down which is what we did.

It’s an absolutely must for every HK visitor, regardless of whether he is in HK for business or leisure, It’s a wonderful trip between the lower and the upper part of the City with a magnificent view of the harbour. And all the time you must think about the 100 years old technique ! That’s superb !
