We really enjoyed our stay at the T Hotel and would highly recommend.

Getting to the hotel from the airport is very easy, there's a bus that takes you right to the door in about 45 mins. When you get off the bus the entrance to the hotel is not immediately obvious and when you find it, you feel more like you're entering a factory loading area rather than a hotel.

Don't panic! The lobby of the hotel is more what you'd expect and hope for. It is a training hotel and we were checked in by a possy of students, all very polite and the ones that were actively checking us in were efficient. We were very fortunate, we arrived at the hotel at about 08.30, well before check in, but our room was ready for us by 09.30. After an overnight flight this was much appreciated.

The room itself was very comfortable and had a stunning view out to sea. Rooms are on the 6th floor but you feel like you're much higher up. The ensuite had both a bath (with TV) and a very good shower. The bed was great (not to hard and not too soft unlike others on this trip) and the proportions of room, bed and bathroom generous.

Breakfast was the one point when it became apparent that the T hotel is a training hotel. The food was fine, not the best breakfast but that's largely down to personal taste and there's a sufficient selection on offer to ensure something for everyone. The service was more random with a feeling that there's a few too many students than necessary and as a result they get under each others feet or are tempted to chat amongst themselves. That said, they were friendly and helpful.

The girls at the 6th floor reception / guest relations were lovely, very helpful and really friendly.

The best and for us, most impressive, facility at the T hotel was the 'Handy', a smart phone provided for our use during our stay. This was enabled to allow us to access the Internet whilst out and about and make calls (including international calls). It was a god send and saved a fortune in international roaming charges.

The location of the hotel is not the most glamorous that Hong Kong has to offer, nor the most central. However, it is incredibly well served by buses, there are plenty of buses going to downtown and even direct buses to Kowloon (for the Temple Street night Market and Mong Kok) and Happy Valley. It's also easy to get to Aberdeen. Sadly we weren't there long enough to go to Repulse Bay or Causeway. However, the buses are frequent (we never waited more than 5 mins for a bus when leaving the hotel), efficient and ran late into the night so we never felt too far away from the action. One word of caution, the airport bus was early the day we departed and it only runs every half an hour so, if you're relying on it to catch your flight, don't leave it till the last minute!

All in all, the T Hotel represents excellent value for money and we would certainly stay there again.

We stayed in the T Hotel for 7 days and were surprised every day by the friendlyness of the staff as well as the ammendities of the hotel itself. The hotel is run under the VTC programme, meaning that most of the staff are trainees a good idea which needs to be supported. Way above Cyberport, the hotel has commanding views and it is located in Pok Fu Lam in a quiet area, about 15 min off Central. Food is great as well as the spacious rooms. Definitly we come back.

We stayed for 3 nights over the weekend when the super typhoon hit the region. What amazed us was the great hospitality (exceeds five star hotels I suppose) as well as attentiveness of the hotel staffs, including trainees at each section. Even though my 7 year old son was able to neither speak English nor Cantonese very well, they kindly talked to him many times. On the final day, some staff talked to him even in Japanese! Also, he was very surprised by a cup of cocoa latte with Ponyo’s art, which was so cute. Such a kindness dedicated to us made our stay superb. Not only human aspect but also the IT support provided is one of their strong points of the hotel. The room featured a smartphone with free internet access, local calls and international call to 10 designated countries, which allowed us to safely return to the hotel and make a delayed flight confirmation call to the airline office outside HK.
When it comes to the location there should be pros and cons. I love the location, though.
We’ll definitely come back to the hotel when visiting HK next time.

Interesting concept. Mainly trainees run this 4-star hotel at a very affordable price. Also, the location is a bit away from the city. However, we enjoyed our stay here very much. A comfortable hotel with a luxury touch, stunning view and great breakfast. You can feel the positive approach. Gladly again!
