…in short we needed a place to crash, after coming from work then attending ‘Disney Halloween Time-Magic Access Night’ last week, after normal park hours … we knew it would end late and we would be too tired to go home… luckily we have our second home (at Disney Explorers Lodge), whatwith:
…The comfy beds, the fantastic view from the balcony, the clean and spacious room itself (the bathroom/bathing amenities have been upgraded since last April…very nice)
…you have to try the Tandoori chicken pita pocket, and their version of Pad Thai at World of Color…consider yourself lucky if you’re in Ruby’s section..shes wonderful… then theres the always amazing breakfast at Dragon Wind, with her friendly & efficient castmembers, floor and kitchen…and of course character greeting/pic taking made the experience more memorable for diners young & old…
Too bad there was a thunderstorm during the day as we had planned to take a dip in the pool …but then again, we were still tired the next day so we just chilled in the room after breakfast till check out…
Thanks to Tiffany & especially Louise for the warm welcome and smooth check in…’Sky, thanks again for your assistance with transportation matters’ …’KC, you’re best for always remembering us, as soon as you see us coming towards the entrance’…Last but not least, to our dear friend Joe… we felt bad that we had to cancel an anniversary booking because of the typhoon the week before, but glad we had a chance to make it up, even for another reason…but our friend Joe made this one night a belated celebration of sorts in various ways …thank you so much…Go!Joe!!
Dear Readers, The Lodge could never feel like home to us, or as a comfortable hotel to relax in while visiting/staying at Disneyland Resort, without people like Joe and the castmembers i’ve mentioned above (or in previous reviews)…so while you enjoy the hotel’s facilities, feel free to look for them, have a chat, if not for assistance on anything…either way, they will always find a way to make it a magical day
