I stayed here with my wife for two nights as we were stopping at Hong Kong airport as part of a flight connection.
Disneyland and their hotels are on Lantau Island, the same island as the airport. Unfortunately, whilst the Disneyland website makes it very clear how to get there from the centre of Hong Kong, there is not much information of what options are available if travelling from the airport, so we opted for a taxi. Not sure if trains or buses do operate from the airport to Disneyland, but it would be useful if this information was included on their website.
The area that Disneyland is in, is absolutely stunning, and the taxi ride from the airport to the hotel showed us some amazing scenery. We have visited all six Disney resorts around the world, but Hong Kong Disneyland is in the most naturally beautiful location of all the Disney parks.
The hotel has a beautiful view over the sea and the grounds have some really pleasant gardens.
We visited in June which is Hong Kong’s stormy season so we were pleased that the hotel kept the pool open until 22:00, otherwise we would not have got to use it in the daytime when the storms were happening.
The room was comfortable and the hotel shop (thank goodness) sold waterproof rain ponchos which were definitely needed for the time of year we visited. Buses to the theme park ran about every 10-15 minutes and did not stop at any other hotels, making this the quickest and easiest way to get to the park. It was walking distance, but due to the rain we preferred to get the buses to the park.
We loved the theme of the hotel and it was a really pleasant place to spend time. We were only there for 2.5 days but could definitely have stayed longer.
