Disclaimer first: I did not choose that hotel myself, I was there as part of the group.
What was good: the room, bed, bathroom (included heated toilet that worked exactly as advertised), TV, breakfast.
Good location, lots of restaurants around.
The only disappointment: tried to go to pool and sauna at the evening, and did not find any towels around the area.

Firm "4".

We stayed 3 nights in this wonderful hotel. Clean and modern one. (Try their computerized Bidde). However, I could not understand one button on our wall marked "Please Waiting" ?

I decided to find out what it is and asked one of the male attendants in the lobby to explain. (I swear I am not making it up).
He asked another receptionist. She then whispered something to another receptionist. That receptionist called someone on the phone, then hung up and said in English "this button is for service calls".

After that "enlightenment, I decided to test that "Please Wating" and pushed the button. Sure enough 5 minutes later someone showed up at our door

Most likely a literal translation from Chinse to English.

Room tip: No different than any mid-town hotels

We stayed in thus hotel for 3 nights as part of a group tour. The hotel is centrally located: 3 subway stops from Tiananmen Square, 2 stops from Wangfujing Shopping Center and Beijing Railway Station, The hotel looks dated, carpets need replacement . As pointed out by several others, the toilet is smart conforming to several Japanese hotels. The shower is slippery. The service is alright. The elevators become busy during peak hours due to several Japanese conferences. The Breakfast Buffet is very good including the service at the omelette station. The Macdonald next door is a big help if you miss home!

Hotel is centrally located, and all the big law and financial institutions are located nearly. Rooms are big and comfortable and elegant. There are Japanese speaking staff for Japanese guests. Overall comfortable stay on a business trip. This hotel is also not as expensive as the Tokyo New Otani, so a big relief.

Room tip: The hotel is in busy street, and Beijing traffic is infamous, so select a upper flowers as possible.

Stayed for 4 nights.
Hotel is centrally located on JianGuoMen St next to East 2nd ring road.

Was obvious that the guestroom was initially renovated to a high standard. Eg. All power sockets are universal sockets, so we did not need to ask for adapters. Room and bathroom roller blinds are motorised. Electronic bidet seat. Nice touches of convenience.

However, overall it looked dated. The main culprit is the carpet in the room, terrible with lots of stains and felt dirty. Mattress was not comfortable for this standard of hotel. Shower stall is spacious, but the whole toilet is lacking clothing hooks.
Overhead rain shower is barely usable due to lack of water pressure, however the water pressure for the handheld is good.

Service at the lobby is not good. Upon arrival, there were two bellmen politely opened the swing doors for us, but they let my wife and I rolled 3 suitcases passed them without offering any help. Throughout our stay, I observed there are many staff standing at the lobby, however none of them provide any interaction nor assistance.

Housekeeping service is good and very helpful. Very good quality toothbrush provided.
Ordered Room Service twice, both delivered promptly and the food are tasty and well presented.
