This place was so good (and safe/clean) that I ate there three times in four days. It is a very busy restaurant, mostly with locals...though the occasional Lonely Planet-toting westerner shows up, too. I had mutton curry which was served quickly with various dipping sauces and the steamed rice on a classic Indian-style metal tray. They bring forks/spoons to the western folk - which is handy as I don't feel comfortable eating directly with my fingers. You share tables with other people, which is a fun way to share the experience. The restaurant is (almost literally) a hole in the wall along a pretty busy street just off the Sule Pagoda. If you sit towards the front of the restaurant, facing the outside, you can experience wonderful people watching as you eat.
I highly recommend it for those who like Indian food and want a safe clean place to eat in Rangoon.
