Comfortable room with kitchenette and good bed. Very quiet location with marvellous tropical garden, open reception. The breakfast and dinner places are in open air in the middle of the garden. Plenty of tropical fruit at breakfast and good dining at night!

From some reason Poppy's doesn't look like its photos and it should, somewhat disappointing. The staff are very friendly and helpful, as was the case where we went in Vanuatu. Everyone told me that their new owners and perhaps they need to spend a little money on upgrading the facilities

Probably wouldn’t stay here again. I was going to rate it as 3 stars, however the friendliness and dedication of the staff lift the place up a notch. In addition they let us have late checkout at no extra cost. Facilities are adequate but not outstanding. Swimming pools are small and very suitable for children. Meals are adequate - although be prepared for lengthy delays of over an hour when ordering dinner. Breakfast was disappointing compared to pretty much every other resort we have stayed at - although it did improve in variety slightly towards the end of our stay.
Location is very good - quiet spot on the lagoon and only a 15min walk into town.
We paid quite a lot of money to stay here (more than most other resorts in town) and felt a bit let down either by the travel agent who helped us book or by Poppy’s. If you are staying here I would suggest it should be priced at around 50-60% of the Warwick or Ramada given the significantly lower level of facilities and rooms.

The staff we lazy, uninformed and unhelpful. On several occasions we ask for infomation and were give incorrect information. Eg We were heading of to the Blue Lagoon, we ask reception if food , lunch was avaliable at the Blue Lagoon. We were told yes, When we got to the Blue Lagoon- There was no shop, food or lunch facilities at all. Very hungry by the time we got back to the resort.
Breakfast was a ordinary-Cereal-Ok- Local Fruits-Ok- 3-4day old stale pastries, sometime microwaved to soften up. Sometimes the toast worked,if there was a power lead avaliable, sometimes there was hot water for Tea.
But the biggest problem i had was when we wnt to pay the Bill there was a 2000 Vartu
discrepency. When i questioned what it was for , i was told it was for purchase at the resort yesterday, when we told them we were not at the resort yesterday, We we told by the accounts lady that it was for SOMETHING and were required to pay.
On top of this we booked pick up from the airport through the resort cost 6500 Vartu
Same bus i called myself for drop of to Airport $2500 Vartu.
The Pools were run down, tiles falling of the pool walls and floors, the facilities were aged and average condition. Rooms had no Air Conditioning, but did have fans. The window covering did not keep any light out, at 5.00am the bedrooms were full of sunlight.
The lagoon is nice to look at, but it is dirty, full of spikey starfish and anenomies if you accidentey touch they leave tiny spike in you hands.
I would recommend a newer resort on the ocean.

The peaceful serenity was amazing at this resort. We had a very warm welcome by the lovely staff. We had a spacious 3 bedroom beach front villa for our family of 6. The rooms had Sukin shampoo and conditioner which is great! Fresh flowers everyday which was very nice of them. Beds were comfortable and showers were good!
We loved how we were a few metres away from the swing on the water, kayaks and paddleboards.
The lagoon is beautiful, warm and safe to swim in. Food is nice but takes a bit of time.
We had a short 2 night stay in Port Vila before we flew out to Espiritu Santo, although it was short it was very relaxing and the service tops it off. I definitely recommend!

Room Tip: Choose the beach front rooms if possible
