This was an interesting place to visit to get a sense of the long history of humanity in and around what is now modern Iran. Several beautiful artifacts were on display and the various rooms were not full of things to see, which meant you could really focus on a few things well. The information boards in English were well-written and overall this was a good experience.

The old building must be visited which starts from thousands of years ago.the first animation of the world which belongs to about 5000 years ago & many other amazing things to see exist there.Dont miss it.The metro station is very close to this place & the street next to museum(30tir st) contains many places to visit & at evening the van restaurants serve delicious fast foods.

It is awesome to visit some Iranian historical pieces at Iran national museum but belonged to louvre and exposed periodically at Tehran & later in other cities of Iran.
Take the occasion to visit absolutely three parts of The same national museums or; Prehistoric; historic and Islamic department which contains chronologically, the previous introductory pieces of Iran.

The first thing I should tell you is that by going to this place you can understand about Iran's history generally. It has beautiful antiquities that are an exponential of Iran's culture. And a magnificent building.
