There seems to be mixed feelings about this show based on the best-selling novel by David Grossman. One friend said: "We were at the premiere and really enjoyed it." Another friend said: "It was jagged direction and bad composition of elements causing lack of coherence, empathy and identification with the plot and its characters. All 4 of us walked out disappointed." I personally did not enjoy it due to the overall concept. Others howled at the stand-up patter. So you will have to decide for yourself.

We saw the Cameri's production of "Disgraced"(kavod avud) that was intense and well executed in every way. It presented a meaningful insight into the life of a New York US-born professional from a Muslim family. Two days later we experienced an original Israeli Musical "Simply to Love"(pashut le-ehov) that was so fabulous that we didn't want it to end. Everything about it was superb. The music featured the hits of both Israeli singers and the Beatles and beautifully portrayed the 60s and 70s in Tel Aviv. Acting, singing, dancing & choreography, directing, music, costumes, scenery, video art and the script were all of top Broadway quality. This is a MUST SEE!

A very known and old theater in Israel . Exists for many decades.
The hall is in the cultural center of Tel Aviv by the opera and Tel Aviv museum.
Classical international theatre and musicals but in Hebrew. Also Israeli original performances.
Recommended performance running now " the HR Manager ".

It's pure pleasure each time I visit the Cameri Theatre complex.
Well organized. Well designed.
...and always the tradition of the guy selling bagels in the courtyard when the shows finish...3 for 10 shekels.
