Great performances, special musicals, and nice architecture. A great culture center with shows and sometimes even concerts.

Just saw an amazing production of Mephisto that was so good we bought tickets for the whole family. The acting was superb, the directing was outstanding and the stagecraft, scenery and costumes were unforgettable. Cameri productions are usually in Hebrew while there were subtitles in Russian this time. Check the schedules when other languages are required.

The Cameri is Israeli theater at it's very best. Excellent actors, great productions, thought provoking, funny, intelligent...whatever it has to be, it is! Worth traveling to Israel just for going to the Cameri! Don't miss it...

The range of shows running simultaneously at this theater arts center is quite astounding. One can choose from a musical like "Hair" or a Greek Classic like "Elektra" with everything in between. Most productions are world class and would compare professionally with major theater productions internationally. The theater company is also where Israel's lauded playwright, the late Hanoch Levin presented and directed his memorable works. There is usually something from his repertoire showing and shouldn't be missed. Tourists should ask about simultaneous translations as they are often provided. The convenient "Golda" parking lot is located right beneath the Theater/Opera complex and there is a discount when presenting the parking ticket at the Cameri booth in the lobby where it gets scanned. Normally parking is NIS20, discounted NIS10 or NIS7 for Tel Aviv residents.
