Description: Regina - a kosher restaurant set in a breathtaking Mediterranean building, constructed in the 19th century. Heavy iron gates surround a traditional inner courtyard packedwith plants and flowers, and the rooms’ design features chandeliers, old-fashioned shutters and lots of marble – just like in the old daysThe kitchen is located in one of the rooms, and creates a captivating range of dishes from all corners of the world – Hungarian goulash, Kreplach soup, salmon delicatessen, avocado salad and dishes inspired by the railway station with its Babel of languages and tastes brought by the new immigrants on their way to and from.

We made a reservation for 35 people (adults and kids), and had the Grill menu. We were accommodated in a room perfect for our group, and we had the constant help of the staff. The food was plentiful, delicious, and very traditional - just what we wanted.
Everyone was happy with the restaurant, taste was great, and service was very friendly.
In the Tahana, its a great option for any family.

Although the place itself is very pretty, the food is just not as good as other restaurants in that category.

Israel is a summer country so in winter restaurants are forced to accommodate customers inside - often in a temporarily constructed environment where we had our meal. It's a less than comfortable environment but compensated by very good food and service. We were 3 persons and between us had a chopped liver starter,(superb and generous portion) artichoke soup which our son approved. Main courses were shawarma. chicken breast and meat in puff pastry, all of which were delicious as were the deserts - apple strudel (enormous portion with vanilla ice cream - non dairy of course) and a variety of sorbet flavors The coffee and mint tea and our son had a fruit cocktail which he approved..The servers were efficient, fun and very helpful. To be recommended; very good value although on the expensive side. .

We went there while on vacation at the recommendation of the hotel concierge. We didn't need it to be kosher but wanted veggie and fish options. We were very pleased with both the restaurant and the food. We had the israeli roasted vegetable app, Traditional Moroccan style cooked St. Peter (fish) entree and they made a plain fish dish for my wife. They were very accomodating and enjoyed our meals.

Unfortunately the food is simply nothing special, the only things going for this restaurant are the location which is nice and that it’s kosher. The food is quite simply, fish and meat pretty dry and the salads below average.
