+ve:
Via Dolorosa is certainly one of the must do’s in Jerusalem.
Enormous religious significance
You almost feel the events of Good Friday.
You get the feel of old city Jerusalem

-ve:
Tough for old people and small children.
The path is not wheel chair friendly. I had my mom on her wheelchair and it was very difficult
The path is narrow at places and there are numerous hawkers along the path.

Please go thru the Stations of the Cross. Whatever -ve I mentioned are part of the experience and makes you cherish the overall visit. God Bless!

Seeing the stations of the cross Jesus traveled on that dark day was overwhelming. It was emotional, but so happy I had the experience to see the stations and hear about each one. The station where his Mother Mary abiding, was very emotional. Can't imagine being her on that day.

We rented a cross and carried it through the streets where the Lord passed. Encountered the station where He met Veronica, the Women of Jerusalem, Simon and finally the crucifixion. The cross we carried was not as heavy as what Jesus had, but we were having difficulty. Could just imagine how hard it was for our Lord to carry His cross all the way to Calvary.

Visiting historical sites in Jerusalem is not complete if it does not travel through dolorosa ritual. me and the group traveled via dolorosa starting from the first stop at a church where Jesus was tried by Pilate. the route traveled has turned into a market where there are 12 stopping points. we went through it with a big cross. Many visitors took our photos as we performed this ritual. the story of the passion of Jesus I feel deeply in this ritual. I came to tears in this ritual.

Walking through Via Dolorosa you may experience the last day of Jesus Christ before his death and resurrection. Take enough time to walk slowly and pray in every station!
