First let me say I do not rate this low unless I believe it is appropriate. But the purpose of this site is to truthfully share our experiences. In this case I have no idea how people could give this hotel an excellent or even good rating. We had two family rooms for our party of 7 on the 4th floor at this hotel. Both rooms were not in the best of shape.

The AC in both rooms did not work (maybe they were using the same ac unit). No help from the front desk. They did not disclose the family rooms for 3 or more are on two floors and connected by a tight spiral staircase. The shower was on the lower level and the paint was bubbling up on the outside wall. All the baseboards were in need a new coat of paint and in bad shape.

I did not give the lowest rating based on two things. First the location is a good one. Second the front desk staff was friendly at check in and check out (just no help with the A/C). We were only there for one night, but if we had stayed longer would have tried to locate a different property.

Great location, can easily walk to the shuk (Mahane Yehuda) in 6-7 minutes, Yaffa Road, wiith the light rail train are both seconds away. Easy access to Central Bus Station. Rooms are more than adequate, come with good size fridge, microwave, coffee maker, good WiFi. No fancy lobby here (in fact, not much of a lobby), no Israeli breakfast but with the money you save you can easily go out and treat yourself to a great breakfast within minutes of the front door.

Room Tip: You don't stay here for the views or the luxury. You stay here because it offers great value: excellent location, friendly staff, basic room

Great location right in the city center as the name says! Near the western wall and outdoor markets. Many restaurants in the area. The clerk was very helpful at checkin. The room was very nice with comfortable beds. There was a sitting room/kitchen upstairs with a day bed and a double bedroom downstairs. Tea kettle and coffee fixings were provided. One drawback was the bathroom was very cramped. Also there is no breakfast provided. A good, economical place to stay.

We had a great time here. A lot to see & experience.
Western wall secured by check in metals control.
In Ramadan only can get to the Dome of the Rock from 7:30 to 11am. No water, food allowed. No entry to non-musulmans inside the building. Make sure you don't show legs and arms, if not they will make you rent some skirts for 25 Nis.
At the Western wall you can borrow it for free.
