Really stupendous apple pie (яблочные пироги). I had two slices each with one scoop of strawberry ice cream. My first dessert in one month of being in Dushanbe. Tastes like somebody's grandma made that pie home-made with a recipe passed down through generations. Best I have had in a long, long time.
Overall, food I ordered I enjoyed -- mushroom soup (delicious) but more of the scale of a cup of soup; pasta with chicken (decent) but would be better with alfredo sauce; beef burger (tasty) but way too messy. I would have preferred a slice of mozzarella or Swiss cheese instead of the dressing (sauce).
Maybe next time I try something more Mexican.
Pity no pork; would have liked pork ribs or even beef brisket (not on menu). In addition, I noticed no guacamole on the menu.
Very convenient location (2-3 minute walk) if you are staying at Safir or Oreo Hotel.
Interior nicely decorated -- but no sombreros.
Full bar but I didn't drink. I didn't notice any Mexican beer on the menu. Anyway, no room for liquids after double portion of desserts.
It took about 20-25 minutes to get served. That is fine as that means your food is not just being reheated or otherwise microwaved. Some care is being put in food preparation. Venue was empty on a Saturday night at 930pm.
I spent 293 somoni. Reasonable given all the food I ordered but I wasn't especially hungry this evening)) Left filled.
