This is Dushanbe, not NYC. 5 stars takes on a different meaning here. The beds have what most people might describe as two box springs. The "mattress" is Flintstone hard, and the springs inside will dig into your ribs all night. The breakfast was just ok, and the rooms seemed clean enough. The maids lived on each floor in what seemed like broom closets. In the basement, there was a bowling alley (I think they described it as the Presidential Bowling Alley). It was as nice, or nicer, than any U.S. bowling alley. It was weirdly out of place in this otherwise NOT 5 star hotel. If they would have let me, I think I would rather have slept in the bowling alley than on the mattress in my room. The bowling alley had really good food too. Why am I randomly focusing on a really nice bowling alley? You'll understand when you go there....it was the most modern thing I saw in the entire country.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Very nice rooms and bed. The location is great and most things are in easy walking distance.

Staff were nice and the breakfast was acceptable. It's good value for money and I would stay here again.

Hotel is located nicely and rooms are big. But its old fashioned and water sometimes comes so dusty. Anyway laylo has been soo amazing at reception and helped out so much that made our stay special. If i back to dushanbe i will bavk to that hotel only because of her.

I spent thee nights in this hotel, it was a very good experience. From the staff friendliness and help to the room itself, everything was great. The hotel has a very good restaurant and bar. The breakfast although couldve been more varied, it was just good. The desk person a man is extremely friendly and polite. The room and shower were hot enough for my three cold nights in Dushanbe.

I exactly do not have a problema with this hotel but with the countrys policy of no Facebook and no YouTube. It was very strange not to be able to use them.

Room tip: the 3rd floor is better

We booked this Hotel as a 5 stars, but there were many problems when we were there. Limitation to assay Wifi internet at the corner rooms; limitation free tea and sugar, very expensive restaurant in comparison to other restaurant in Dushanbe, No water boiler or tea maker in the room and air condition not good... but the stuffs are polite and cooprative.
