Comfortable room with good A/C. Excellent breakfast.. WiFi acceptable. But the nicest point for this hotel is its helpful front desk. They made our stay a delight. And when our tour company dropped our morning airport transfer, the hotel manager personally drove us there. Nice nearby restaurant, especially one that appeared to be russian (Terrace .....). We would return in a heartbeat
I come here for the last night befor the pamir highway trip and wanted something confortable, i was not dissappointed and can recommend it:
- Good location
- Friendly staff
- Clean and confortable rooms
- Good WLAN
Only thing is they don't accept credit cards and use local currency or US-D. This is doable but yould be improved.
Spent a month there, great staff and very helpful people, close to some very good restaurants. Not too expensive and secure and comfortable..... beds are great and the WiFi is excellent, made my work a lot easier.....
This is not a hotel but a guest house to be more appropriate. My colleague & I paid USD$90/room /night for 2 nights & a room each & the mattress is so hard that when you wake up in the morning you feels your back is sore. The staff's are not friendly at all & they accused us for smoking cigarette in the room which we did not. Because we have to rush to the airport so we have to pay USD$70 before we could leave. The staff's were more interested to go through the CCTV recording on the "Evidence" than quickly settle the account for a speedy check out. The name Vatan Hotel should be renamed as Fatah Guest House to be more appropriate! Operates by rude and unprofessional staff's which exactly like a guest house. You should not stay at this place as you will find the unpleasant experience like us.
I stayed in this hotel with my colleague for two nights paying USD$90/night/room. The facility is simple with the mattress as hard as stone. When we checked out, they accused us smoking cigarettes in the room which we both did not & forcing us to pay for fine of USD$70. Because we were running late to the airport so we have to pay before we could leave. The staffs just invented this claim so they could make money from the guest. They are also very rude, not courtesy and their services did not reflect what you paid for. Their name is Vatan Hotel but should be called Vatan Guest House which would be more appropriate. We were robbed right in the center by these dishonest people big time!!! For God's sake, please avoid this so call "hotel" but in fact a guest house at all time
