The pilgrimage was nothing less then spectacular. The staff went out of their way to make everything smooth for their guests. Instead of checking in they brought up to a tea room and sat us down with warm towels and tea while they checked in for us. The rooms were beautifully decorated making you feel like you have escaped into a jungle paradise. The pool was big, beautiful and filled with palm trees. What a true retreat this was!! Thank you, Pilgrimage!! A true hidden gem !!

This is a beautiful hotel. it is a big site, very verdant, picturesque with big attractive rooms. The breakfast location is really lovely with a great range of food. The pools are truly excellent, the main pool is huge and water is great. The spa and the complimentary yoga classes were also 1st class. There were a couple of minor niggles. The first morning we were woken at 6am by loud children's music and children shouting. We had to phone reception in the end and it stopped. I do not know where it came from. Also the restaurant for the evening was quite expensive and whilst one main course dish was excellent, the other was inedible, rubbery tough pork which was not caramelised and not up to any restaurant's standard. We didn't eat in the restaurant again but there aren't others nearby so we took the free hotel shuttle into Hue where we found some very good restaurants. Also the hotel shuttle to airport costs more than twice what a metered taxi charged us, so not good value. It would have been good to have a few more shuttle runs on offer through the day. As it is so green you do get a few bugs.

Room Tip: I would ask for a quiet location at the back of the complex near the spa.

First up as a hotel and and a service, top notch on both fronts. The reception and their welcome is amazing and really puts you in a good mood. The hotel is also exceptional with a great breakfast, amazing pools, huge rooms and an awesome layout it really takes your breath away.

The only problem is that it is far from town, the only problem with this is that dinner options are limited and you can only really eat their restaurant and that has its own implications.....

We stayed as a family of 5, 3 adults and 2 kids.
They asked us to get another room which we were against for security purposes. We then agreed to pay an extra $90 US a night for 2 extra beds.
We were given 2 breakfast vouchers which we thought would be for the kids, so my husband paid for his meal. When we found out that the breakfast vouchers were for adults we asked that the charge be refunded and changed, in a nutshell however, we were told that they had already done enough for us by agreeing to our request for 5 persons in a room- so don’t ask for too much. We never knew why pilgrimage made such a big deal of this, we travelled around vietnam and stayed in many 4-5 star hotels with no issues.
Pilgrimage is an establishment run void of any emotion. It’s hard to want to return when you don’t really feel like you were valued.

This is a beautiful place, there is a real out in the country feel about it. The staff were lovely, we were meet by the guest manager who gave us a warm welcome & explained all about the resort.
The rooms are well appointed & we were upgraded the a lovely bungalow on the second night. Only down point to us was we felt the bed & pillows were not to our liking.
The pool, the pool, it amazing, the best we have ever seen.
Sort of sunk in to a valley it is so peaceful, truely a delight to swim in.
But everything comes at a cost, every service, food, drink ect is very expensive ++ taxes. Not seen prices like this anywhere in Vietnam so far.
