It's hard to say anything bad when you are paying so little for the room but I'd like to give an honest review.

The positive: the location is excellent and at night it is so quiet that you can get a good night sleep. The staff are very friendly and super helpful, they got us a great price on a bus and they always greeted us with a smile. The breakfast was also great! Simple (eggs, fruit, pancakes, and yogurt ) and the coffee was delicious. Really nice that it was included as well. The map they provided was a huge help and the walk to the citadel was about 30 mins.

The not as positive: we booked the triple room with 3 single beds and found out it was on the ground floor off the lobby. It was loud as the family lives next to the room so the crying baby kept us awake. Conveniently it was the only room with no photos to be seen beforehand and was rather dark. The bathroom ceiling was leaking over the toilet and the sink was leaking as well. Told reception and they were able to fix the ceiling until we checked out. Towels did not look or feel clean so I didn't bother using the shower. Didn't see any of the rest of the hotel above the ground floor so have no idea what the rest of the place looks like. The fact they sell a room off the lobby was disappointing and I would not recommend that room specifically to others.

I would not stay here again but the value leaves me torn on being completely negative. If you are easy going and not fussed by much, this place would work well. Thanks for the stay!

The location is a bit hard to find but to make up for it there is all you need in the same street as in restaurants/cafes/loundry. The staff was friendly and very helpful, helping with bus tickets for next destination and loundry on time as we only stayed for one night. The room was ok, best bed(size and softness) only the toilet looked a bit old but decently cleaned for a short stay. If I comeback I probably stay there again!

The hotel is conveniently located (it's a small walk to the Citadel, 25 min) in an alley in the centre of Hue. The staff speaks English, is very friendly and helpful. You can book tours, transfers and you'll receive a city map at arrival. Rooms are of decent size and have AC and a fan. The breakfast is great. You can choose between fried eggs with bread, pancakes, coffee and tea (coffee and tea are free the whole day!).

My girlfriend and I visited Hue for 5 nights and stayed at the Ngoc Binh Hotel.

The hotelroom was very good, the A/C was quiet and worked good. Very soft beds! Most of the beds in Vietnam hotels have springs, this bed is supersoft and we finally slept good in a long time.

The staff/owners are very friends and will help you with everything. We felt safe and really enjoyed staying here.

The breakfast was good and you get fruit and a bottle of water complimentary.

The overal experience was very good and we wished that we had a Ngoc Binh hotel in every town we are going to visit.

Thank you so much!!

My stay was a mixed baggage. The staff were friendly enough and were always willing to help out. The first room we checked in was dirty, there were weird yellow stains on the bed sheets and towels so we asked to be moved and the second room was bit better but there was some residue on the bath but as it was very cheap, we was not that fussed.

The bed was comfortable enough, A/C worked fine but there was a leak in the bathroom emitting from the toilet and all of towels including replacements have small yellow stains in them. I have low expectations of this hostel due to the price but I do think clean towels is not much of an ask for any self respecting hotels.

It also took ages for our breakfast (poor one as well) to be served as the staff forgot our orders twice so we did not eat there next day even that it is free but staff were honest enough to knock it off our bill so that was a plus.

The location is superb, there was also two very nice restaurants nearby- Family Home restaurant (10 seconds away) and a quirky cafe with cool bicycle theme for their sign (you will recognise the place soon as you see it) in the adjacenting alley.
