Hotel was very affordable, even for a couple of backpackers. Breakfast was included, and the pancakes were delicious. Family run, they treat you like their own. Even after we checked out, they let us shower and gave us free water and fruit before catching the later bus to Hanoi.. Room was clean, shower was hot.

We had a very nice stay at this hotel. The room is a standard room you'd get in Vietnam and for the price including breakfast was great. $10 USD. The breakfast had nice options and we went for the banana chocolate pancakes which were more like crepes but delicious and they gave us coffee and tea with two bananas. The staff was what made the stay great because they spoke English well and were happy to give us advice on places to go and even helped us get one of our motorbikes started when it was giving us trouble. They were also accommodating to let us check out half an hour later with no extra charge. Thanks Ngoc Binh.

From,

Mel and Chris

One of the employees Chut was amazing couldn't do enough for you, always helpful. Best thing was that he didn't try to ram his tours etc down your throat like other hotels do, he answered everything in a neutral way which was a refreshing change! Rooms were good, bed in ours was soft not like the typical rock hard beds you find in Southeast Asia! 5 stars

Do not judge this by the location!
It is located near the end of an alley way lined with restaurants and little shops. So it doesn't look overly inviting but the hotel itself is great.

We got to check in early which was fantastic! And sit and enjoy free coffee whilst we waited for the room. Free tea and coffee is available all day which is always a bonus!

The staff, and one in particular, speak perfect English! Really knowledgeable and helpful too!

The room although small and basic was clean. The bathroom had a bath but sadly no plug that fitted! And although we did manage to block it the hot water doesn't last long enough to fill it. Free breakfast is included in the room rate and wifi is available throughout. The room even had a window, Shame the only thing you can see is other people's roofs!

They can also book tours here and onward travel however I do not recommend it and although they cant be held responsible, which is why I won't mark them down, I do want to make others aware.

The tours of the town and river cruise ended up being 2 tour groups put together resulting in a very slow day which could of ended up with us missing the bus to Hanoi. We were meant to be back at 4 as we were being picked up from 4.30 onwards but were assured this would be ok in terms of time. At 4pm we hadn't even finished the tour!! And wouldn't even start heading back till closer to 5! Needless to say after an argument with our tour guide he eventually gave us the money for a taxi back but we missed the end of the tour and almost the bus. The tour also costs $8 but all you get is a cold meal and a boat ride. To get to all the attractions on the tour it will cost an additional 400.000 dong!!

Plus the bus we booked was shocking! It required 3 different mini vans to take us to numerous places to catch the bus and when we did get there we had no allocated seats, which we had in fact requested, and found the bus was overbooked!! Resulting in numerous people sleeping in the isles! We only stopped once early on, the lights didn't work on the bus and the toilet door wouldn't stay shut!! Do not book the camel tour bus!!

Very friendly hotel. Staff can't do anymore to help than what they do. Was in a shared room, plenty of space and a comfy bed! Great location, everything is an easy walk. And hallets opposite is also great for food!! Booking transport to the next city is easy also, they just charge it to your room!
