The place is now closed and the location changed to Vietnamese restaurant. I think TripAdvisor should have business closed option so people can inform visitors!

I’m a big fan of matcha! Whenever I heard that there is a matcha food or matcha dish, I always try my best to come to try first! After a long time of “matcha-hunting”, finally I can found the dessert boutique have the real taste of matcha in town (cuz almost Vietnamese coffee shop or dessert shop just use matcha as an attractive name, in reality, they use also green tea, but it”s like vietnamese green tea, it smells better but the taste is not as strong as the real Japanese matcha). All the toppings or the other things are good and fresh: fresh fruits, good red bean paste, good cake,etc.. BUT except matcha flavor here.. It also has a taste of the real Japanese matcha but you have to eat more or have a really excellent taste bud to detect the real taste of matcha cuz they put in the product... too little! You can see the sweetness of sugar, the coldness of ice cream are the main.

Cosy cafe with very polite staffs. The matcha ice cream is authentic and reasonably priced. A hidden gem for quality matcha product in Hanoi , would definitely be back!

The ice cream and the place is great. Staff were really helpful and friendly.

When I requested to just serve the soft serve cone to a cup, little did I expect I got a soft serve served in a dish and the cone as decoration! They even sprinkled some corn flakes on~

Plain water is also served alongside. Definitely a place to go should you wish to taste some Matcha ice cream in old quarters!

Chance upon this Matcha Theme cafe which is a 10 minutes walk from Hoan Kiem Lake. Was rather surprise to find such fine quality Matcha Soft serve in Hanoi. The Cafe is rather spacious as well, good for taking a break after a day's shopping around the Old Quarter. Do take note that it do get crowded in the Evening. I would recommend visiting in the Early Afternoon, as the cafe won't be as pack, and they seem to have a 1 for 1 offer between 12-2PM, Great for 2 to share.
