When I walked around the Cathedral area, I encountered this by chance and decided to try. They offer set menu, mostly contain bahn cuon (rolled cake, filked with mushroom, black fungus and sprouts) and they will prepare for you fresh from the steamer.

Also you can sit and watch the cook quickly pick and roll the skin in the kitchen.

Are You craving for one of the best rice rolls in Hanoi? Then you should try this amazing restaurant! This cozy restaurant located in 26 B tho Xuong Hoan keim , Hanoi , Vietnam . With small table and chairs with a welcoming atmosphere, with english speaking servers so the ordering process was a breeze. If you can't decide what to eat , no problem, they have set menu that comes with drinks. The service is warm and good it makes you feel at home, also it comes for free wifi.

This place is good , i been there twice this week and planning to go back before leaving vietnam. They serve good vietnamese traditional food which meets the top 3 of my list , Good Food , Good Price, and Healthy Dishes . the rice rolls are delectable with the right combination of pork ,mushrooms and spices with fried sweet onion as toppings ,once you dip it on the fish sauce it taste devine, the salad with nuts is amazing the fish sauce is not too Salty. The cinnamon pork pie is seasoned right , they are soft and tasty , no questions asked. The lemon grass lean pork roll is also a superstar one of my favorites, with unique yet simple flavors that tingles your taste buds. Its like a union of bursting flavors that hugs your taste buds. The omelet with onions and mushroom are also savory ,appetizing and done just right. Plus they come with coke or soy milk.

We ordered fabulous menu and teens choice for first day , and we ordered teens choice award on the second day they even give us extra spring roll.

The prices are extremely reasonable compared to similar places,

Are you a vegetarian? No worries they have vegetarian options .

Cost estimate : 3 Usd per person

Final verdict :5

Dear Adequate8;

Thank you for your comment message. Our Banh Cuon Ba Hanh is ground 3 times and paste is fine with taste.
The filling is in reasonable amount of mixture so that can generate a flavor. Nowaday the industry does not do as the way we do such as soaking rice in water for 4 hours and 3 times ground by stone. This is a traditional way to make proper steamed rice cake. This is different with the other that they take ready made rice powder from supermarket and make it.

Thank you for your time and look forward to your service again soon

Best wishes

Good Banh Cuon, thickness of the rice rolls is a little bit too big for me but this is subjective. It is really tasty and homemade. I recommend this restaurant.

Dear JohnDoeNumberTwo;

Thank you for your time and comments.
Banh Cuon Ba Hanh is handmade according to local method. Accordingly, rice soaked up in water for 4hours and ground 3 times, which make the rice powder very fine and subtle. This lay ground for making even smoother and thinner to the steamed rice cake and to the jucy taste.
Nowaday the industry does not follow this way of making banh cuon any more as it takes time, patience and dedication. They user the ready powder in parcels readily availble in the supermarket and stock in piles for continuous use.
With tradional method of cooking local food by hand, each of steps are carried out with care and loves. This enable to cake to a taste bit and flavor.
Thank you for being with Banh Cuon Ba Hanh, a Vietnamese cuisine done by 68 years old Madame Hanh from Thanh Tri village.
Our team is looking forward to having you and your families as our disinquished guests in the near future.

With warm regards,
Banh Cuon Ba Hanh
