You are a lot more than a renter to the discriminating owner, you are a distinguished guest. Omnipresent from an airport pick-up to all arrangements which included a car rental, diving certification and island tours, Michel was available to provide us with restaurant information as well, since he is a well connected local.
The property, which here in Southern California would be valued in millions, is stunning. Tastefully furnished and well appointed, it is your private residence, not a mere generic vacation rental. Infinity pools, on two levels, provide spectacular views of the Gulf of Thailand and distant islands, yet offer privacy as they are accessible from two separate bedrooms and the upper deck.
The master bedrooms and office invites leisurely morning lounging watching the sun rise, and a very secluded fourth bedroom provides a quiet retreat only punctuated by soothing jungle sounds. Spooky maybe, but it beats the hum of the Santa Monica freeway.
In the well equipped European kitchen you will find all your basic cooking needs and your wonderfully charming maid so attentive to your desires. No need to get too worked up grocery shopping, down the street ( 1 kilometer) is Som seafood restaurant where you enjoy local fares for about $3 per person. So good to eat with your feet in the sand! 9 of us had an almost daily lunch or dinner for well under $50, and that's counting the ubiquitous Leo beer, the favorite island brew.
There are so many vacations destinations, hordes of tourists descending on new spots, it is hard to make the wisest choice. After 30 years of flying all over the world, I personally discovered Thailand and was charmed by its beauty and its climate, but what most seduced my family and myself was its gentle people, those you meet at the market, at the dive center, at the restaurants and bars.
Two thumbs up! An unforgettable vacation in a paradise like setting.

Koh Samui is a beautiful island and the house we rented was absolutely amazing in every point....not to say perfect. We were 9 and the house didn't seem full at all ! Everybody was free to do whatever he wanted. The house seems divided into different appartments to give everybody some space yet it all looks so harmonious and wonderfully decorated. If you're hot there are fans and air conditioning everywhere so that you can choose between both of them. The villa is pretty close to the main village Chaweng, and even closer to two other villages. Besides, you can go to the beach in a 10 minutes walking. The atmosphere of the house and the place it's set up is really calm and invigorating.
The owner of the place is always present if you need any advice, suggestions or anything ; just give him a call and he will find you the best places to go according to what you ask him. The maid is fantastic, she will never disturb you but if you need anything she won't be far away to help ! The house is always really clean and tidied up. Don't think twice if you want to rent this house. Go ahead !

My girlfriend, a friend and I have just returned from Samui where we stayed in this villa. Michel, the owner, was waiting for us when we arrived at Nathon port and took us to the villa, where he had already sorted a pick-up truck for our stay. He was very friendly, gave us a tour of the villa, then left us to it.
There are waterfalls and water features as you walk to the front door,we found these can be switched on in the car port. After walikng through the large front door, there is a fantastic, full width view across the pool, coconut trees and out to Koh Phangan and even Koh Tao. The whole place is done to a very high standard, including a large TV and sound system (which is great for music by the pool).
The double pool is simply beautiful, allowing people in the lower bedrooms to have a pool view and a private outside area, both of these also have a kitchen.
A great restaurant on the beach is at the bottom of the road (about 5 mins walk).
It was an amazing stay and would love to stay again.

We stayed with our family and friends, it is 6 adults & son 2 years old.
First, it is noteworthy that Michel was extremely friendly, and before renting a Villa, held a private guided tour of the villa for us and showed all its advantages.
In the second, Villa, really good:
1. a magnificent view of the sea.
2. walk to the sea-walk 10 minutes. We doubt not far away does it? On the map as if far. ...
3. very handy that the 2 pools. Friends woke up and relax by the pool, we're waking up again at the top ....
4. we had the continued support from our maid! Once there were any issues they are dealt with in 5 minutes.
5. the kitchen is equipped with a Frenchman! We loved it there to Cook, and dinners with friends were great. Wine and sea view-fabulous!
What else would say: the quality of repair, furniture, decorations at once indicates that this villa for connoisseurs. It is more of a Villa owner, where we were allowed to stay, not a business.
We hope that we will be back ... ...
