I stayed here for 3 nights recently and really enjoyed my stay. The location is very good, just a 10 minute walk to the night bazaar and the many bars and restaurants. It is in a back street, so, very peaceful and there are a couple of small shops nearby to get snacks or drinks.

Check-in was a little disappointing as we arrived about 12 and we were told that we would have to wait until 2 for our rooms to be ready. It was extremely hot and I was keen to shower. It would have been nice if they could have offered us one room a little earlier, especially as the hotel did not seem busy.

The pool and bar area was very nice and the pool was very welcome in the high temperatures at the time.
The rooms are large and have everything you need. The shower was different, but, not a problem for me to use.

Breakfast was good, with a small selection and freshly cooked eggs, which we all enjoyed.

The hotel offers good value and is in a very good location. I gave it 4 stars as of the 4 hotels I stayed in during my trip, the staff here were the least friendly, however, they were very professional.

Spend 4 wonderful days in Chiang Mai. Our trip was short but very good. Songkran(Thai New Year) was a pleasant surprise. Locals very friendly.

The hotel is very nice. Clean, close to the city centre and the room was big and had nicely decorated. My only issue was thr size/quality of the tv and lack of English speaking channels.

Would stay there again.

The location was so convenient to the train station and airport, while being close to markets and an easy walk to restaurants. We loved the tour services provided by the hotel, and had a very pleasant experience here. The staff was kind, polite, and professional.

Stayed here for a couple of nights as a stop over. Nice enough pool area but very short on sun beds so could be a problem if your staying here for longer. Nice and quiet though. The hotel has lots of trees and shrubs which makes it very pretty and there is a high proportion of wood over concrete which is nice, and feels quite traditional. The main issue for us is the room. Quite low standard, slughtly worn and shabby in places, inadequate security, and a bizarre hot/ cold system for the shower which we didn't quite get. The bath tub is set in the ground and didn't look too appealing with shower over- plus water pressure pretty low so you would never be able to fill it. Although not a problem for us I wonder if guests with mobility problems could struggle to shower/ bath. Good location though and breakfast tasty but limited selection. For us the hotel was fine for 2 nights, but had we booked longer wenwoukd have probably moved on to somewhere else.

Ban Thai Village is a fairly small hotel that's not too far from all the markets, and we felt safe exploring. The rooms are adequate, though having to leave your shoes outside is a bit of a nuisance (though there are benches to change into the provided thongs) and the transparent door to the bathroom was a little off-putting. There's a very nice bathtub, but there wasn't enough hot water to even half fill it, so that was a disappointment. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the buffet breakfast was nice, if not as extensive as most hotels we stayed at. We were unfortunate enough to have rooms very close to a family with unruly children, who ran up and down and yelled at all hours so even though there was no street noise, we did not have a restful stay.
