Must must do while in chiang mai , got to walk with the elephants and bathe them in the river. Awesome experience. Also received great lunch while there which is included in price.

The elephant nature park was fantastic. They rescue all the elephants that have been abused in the past. No riding, just interacting with the elephants. A great day we will not forget

I think it is the best way to spend a day in a trip to Thailand. When you enter in the park, you know for sure that all the animals (elephants, dogs, cats, monkeys,...) are well treated!!
You can feed them, take bath with them in the river (all you can see in the photos)...
This nature park do an excellent work here! The volunteers are really passionate for what they do!

I truly recommend this nature park! You can be with well treated animals and not with a entertainment animals!

Help them to help this animals!

The Elephant Nature Park is an expert at what it does, and it shows. We appreciated the hotel pick-up, the video on the way to the park, and our very knowledgeable and friendly guide. Getting to spend time with elephants who are free to do whatever they wish was amazing and such a rare opportunity. The lunch buffet was good. We did the half-day experience, which was a perfect length for us.

My only complaint is that we did not get to feed the elephants, although that was in the description for our day, and there were a few people in our group who dominated time with the elephants, and the guides didn't take a very hands-on approach to managing them. They would do things like pet the trunks, after explicitly being told not to, but the guide wouldn't say anything, so they kept doing it. A risk you run with any group tour, though.

I did the highlands tour and ABSOLUTELY recommend as the best elephant experience. You get a full day of hands-on elephant time; feeding, walking (led with food and happiness, not ropes!!), mud bath, and water bath. Vegan/veggie lunch is amazing, as is the drive up to the mountains. Scenery is beautiful and you get plenty of it. The way these people care for the elephants is outstanding - you can tell the elephants are happy and spoiled as they should be. No riding, tricks, or any cruelty. Just love. Our guide was amazing - fun, knowledgeable, and caring. There was a young girl on our tour and she had a blast, so definitely fun for all ages and sizes of groups.
