We opted for the 2 day overnight stay and this was the main reason for travelling to Thailand. We loved every minute. Hotel pickups were punctual and we arrived at the sanctuary mid morning in time to meet and feed some of the elephants. We had far more direct contact with the herd than we'd anticipated and enjoyed feeding, stroking and bathing them. The food was simple, tasty, vegiterian Thai but mealtimes were very busy so stocks tended to run low. Our accommodation was simple but lovely. Clean, kept cool by fans and 4 poster bed had mosquito nets. We learnt a lot about the elephants sad lives prior to finding sanctuary here. The fact that this was also a cat and dog sanctuary was a bonus! We were surrounded by extremely friendly dogs and even had 2 resident dogs that slept on the deck of our bungalow. All in all a superb experience!!

We decided to try the Elephant Nature Park for one of our daily excursions while in Chiang Mai and we are so happy we did. After learning about how the organization rescues elephants from illegal logging companies, elephant shows and parks (where humans ride these exhausted animals literally until their knees give out), we got to meet our new elephant friends. We were able to feed, bathe, and hike with them. Our guide was knowledgeable and kind. We'd highly recommend this company!

An amazing adventure where we came together with some old friends! Was a fantastic experience for the kids, wish it could have been for a few nights longer, 1 wasn't enough! The program ran smoothly, we didn't feel rushed. The food was great, all vegetarian and the accommodation was more than I expected. Love the fact that they are trying to build a better life for all these amazing creatures with no elephant riding and just simply taking care of them. Well done Khun Lek and team, we will return!

Elephant Nature Park is one of the coolest places I have ever been! I did pamper a pachyderm package and it was an incredible experience. The work that ENP is doing is wonderful. These elephants are well cared for and you see and understand their desire to help elephants. I would go back to this place in a heart beat!

Overall, this place is a strong recommend. It is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, where you walk and interact with Elephants, even getting to bathe one. However, it wasn't perfect. First, our guide was, frankly, a jerk - disinterested and not particularly knowledgeable - except when he wanted to make sure we knew that we were allowed to tip him. Secondly, there is a lecturing quality to some of the presentations (to say nothing of the video shown in the van on the way over) that gets a bit grating after a while. That said, spending the day wandering around their beautiful grounds, filled with elephants and water buffalo, overwhelmed the negative aspects of the day.
